But not paper...kinda stupid...

Wish topps would make it easier,
Bowman series 1, Bowman series 2 and then Bowman Draft.
All 3 products have paper and chrome

Agreed, it would be nice to have some sort of consistent numbering for all of Bowman products.

For simplicity sake, if you are not familiar with baseball, you could consider it this way:

Bowman = Series 1
Bowman Chrome = Series 2 (but only with Chrome)
Bowman Draft = Update Series

Generally speaking:

Bowman (series 1) will have leftovers from the previous year's draft, and international signers. This release only has "paper" base for Vets/Rc's and prospects. This will also have a Chrome Prospects set.

Bowman Chrome is generally later round players, Players signed outside of a draft and international signers. This set only has chrome for Vets/RC and prospects.

Bowman Draft contains players from the current year's draft. This will have paper and chrome. Some releases used to have RC, but recently they have dropped this and now seem to focus on prospects.

To be clear, a “1st Bowman” card is not a players RC. Their RC is only when they are called up to the majors and typically has the RC designation.

To add to this. Bowman 'RC' stuff generally isn't going to be the most desirable. You want to look for Topps (or Topps Chrome) for that desirable 'RC' designated card.

But the '1st Bowman' designation is generally the most desired to the most collectors. Some prefer the Topps (or Topps Chrome) RC to 1st Bowman, but often that RC designation comes years later.

As far as organization. If you're playing catch-up, I will say COMC has things organized pretty well. The April release is 'Bowman - Chrome...' The Chrome release is 'Bowman Chrome...', and Draft is 'Bowman Draft - Chrome...'. I used that to organize my prospect spreadsheet I shared awhile back to track who's in what product.

Why are regular bowman chrome cards worth more then Bownan chrome draft? I see a difference in price on the 2011 mike trout rcs.
