I guess to either

A) Save time by cutting down his auto
and/or
B) Be unique about it by reversing his initials (Bryce Harper --> Harper Bryce)

It saves no time because he typically writes "BH". He's doing it to screw with people trying to get his autograph. He's probably convinced that everyone is selling his auto and he's upset that he's not getting a cut of it. So instead of simply saying "NO" he would rather mess up peoples items.

I guess so. But at the same time, if he does it every time he signs, that'll become his normal signature and prices will eventually even out since it'll be so common.

I swear, when I become the world's biggest star, I'll sign as often as I can, and everyone here will get a free auto .

nice pickups man! I was able to go to base in Jacksonville this past summer. The beach was awesome! There was no one there and it is so flat we had some serious ultimate frisbee going. Looking forward to going again.

Very nice! Heading to catch a couple Nats spring training games myself next weekend. I'm stationed in Hawaii; gotta get off the rock here and there

Thanks for your service brother . Great pics.

Side note : Bryce is a young kid. He needs to be careful about how he goes about with his fans.

Thanks everybody. We're heading back down for their game against the Cards in a few days. I'm taking the wife this time since she's the one who is actually a Nats fan.

The HB stuff really pisses me off but......If "HB" becomes a known sig of his. If rather have a Non smeared "HB" than a smeard full sig.

The more he does this crap the more and more I like my rookiegraph sweet spot ball with the Luke 1:37 auto I have.

Harper is just a douche. I will give him this, he seems to be nice to kids, ie, younger than say 12. To anyone else he apparently thinks everyone is some secret dealer getting rich off his signature. Or he just really likes effing with people. It took me like 5-6 times waiting for him to get off the bus when he was in single A for him to actually stop and sign. Twice, I was one of only 3 people there and he still ignored every one. In single A. Where most guys literally would sign 50 cards if for some reason you handed over that many.

At least I eventually got a nicely signed sweet spot ball, with his nicer full sig as opposed to the BH, or any smudges etc.

Fred McGriff did that. Even on a team ball with 20 other autos. He was such a nasty %#%#.

Really sucks because I really want to root the kid. I hope he does not become the Randy Moss of baseball.

its not like graphers are making thousands off his autos.. lol its their job give them a break.. i dont understand why signing autos would hurt... if you dont feel like signing .. dont sign.. i kno he has amazing talent but seeing him being a dick is really pissing me off!

Nice haul! i'd have to say that the Denard Span auto is the best one on the ball, but I might be a little biased there. Sad to see him gone from the Twins
