I'll always think the worst as a Browns fan...

But everything I've read since the initial report said this is absolutely nothing. The only reason he's going to Andrews is because that's who performed the original surgery back in the day.

It's just a clean up and he could play in 2 weeks - they'll just sit him in the preseason because there is really not reason to play him.

The key is that they are saying it's a proactive surgery instead of reactive.

I probably jinxed it though.

Other reports say he's out less then 2 weeks and could play tomorrow if it was the regular season (MJD played an entire season with the same "injury" Richardson is having operated on today) - it's purely a proactive surgery right now. It's not reactive.

He'll play week 1 - that's a guarantee - they'll just be cautious until then.

But even it that's all true, it's still very concerning.

He needs to get his timing down with the offense. At this point, to think that he's just going to show up week 1 and start putting up Pro Bowl numbers is probably a false assumption. Richardson is already behind and if he misses the entire preseason he will be far behind.

Sometimes it works(Josh Cribbs), sometimes it doesn't(Colt McCoy).

T-Rich a possible problem for "WE" the Browns fans? Yes, but just add him to the list.
New owner - Probably going to fire everyone and start over....AGAIN
New QB - Unproven. We've been here before.
Haden - Probably suspended 4 games
Gocong - Out for the season
Fujita - Suspended 3 games
Phil Taylor - Tore his tit, maybe back mid-season?
Little/Massaqoi - Last season I'd bet on hillbilly kids catching a greased pig before either of them catching a ball. Maybe improved? Maybe not.
The list goes on and on, but the season will be a disaster based on many variables, not just one running back.
