Also better to go to refill your tank at a local business you will get a full refill. When going to do a exchange I was told the tank is never 100% full on a exchange. Also going to get it refilled is usually a few bucks cheaper then doing a exchange.

My grill has a weight that tells me when I’m running low. At that point I’ll refill my tank, not exchange.

Poll failure for no option that your propane grill has a connection to your propane tank that supplies propane to the entire house.

Yikes

But then you have a giant tank just sitting out in your yard

Sounds awful...

For some unknow reason, it's how they built the houses in our neighborhood. The fire places are propane while everything else, heat-wise and cooking-wise, in the house is electric. At some point, someone decided to do a line from the propane tank, under the deck, and to where the grill could be hooked up.

More like neighborhood failure if you ask me.

A proper HOA wouldn't have been a part of this...

our homes are build with propane/natural gas pipes underground so we don't have anything in the yard to see. I don't believe each home has their own tank, but pipes connecting to a main source somewhere else (I have heat, water heater & stove on gas)

I also have 3 tanks for the grill/griddle, but moving in a couple of months and not allowed to have anything that makes a "flame", so gonna have to hide them good or sell/give them away. Oh well.

When I DID have grill I always had a backup.

I would make some GREAT ribs on indirect heat on the grill.
