Indeed, basketball, was a "fun", somewhat-pleasant surprise! However, for the average IDIOT who bought into this football release; prepare to [most likely] have your YOU-KNOW-WHATS....SMASHED!

I just really like the look of the base color parallels...kinda sucks that the autos are so terrible...I would say we were spoiled in the 2000s and 2010s for the game used jerseys and patches and deep auto checklists...but that should really just be the norm. Why produce NFL cards if you can't provide collectors with the autos and patches of the best players and most exciting rookies?

Because flipper bois will buy anything new and shiny regardless of what it says on the front or the back. Most anyone who's been in the hobby for an extended amount of time should know by now that the jerseys and patches used in today's cards are off the rack from Dick's Sporting Goods.

Yeah on these releases no one seems to care about the autos. The Illusions Premium boxes vast majority had 2 rookie patch autos and those boxes are worthless.

yeah it's so weird. everyone all of a sudden cares about sticker autos.

it's $175 minus Red Card discount for a hobby box of a hyped rookie QB class. i thought it was kind of a no-brainer.

no big case hits - downtown, uptown, horizontal - no one cares. guys already selling boxes on fb groups for a quick $30 profit per box.

lot of color for sure and will be curious to see what rc qb color sells for.

Bad news-3 of them were Chris Godwin!
Worse news-Auto was Kyle Van Noy. Ouch.
If you get a numbered rookie QB you probably do well, but the rest will likely be rough.

I'm big enough to admit when I'm wrong. And I was wrong, here!

The "bang-for-the-buck", factor,...alone, was enough to make this Retail-Hobby-Hybrid product (much like it's basketball counterpart), a winner! SHART TON of color/low #'ed cards, coupled with the fair & reasonable SRP price-point, was good enough to bring about, "an exciting rip" (though I still stand by the fact that the auto checklist [comparative to the basketball release] was/is in fact, THE POOPS!)

That said, two of my three boxes had Platinum Black 1 of 1's! Xavier Worthy GOLD TEAM, and Dak Prescott CERTIFIED TUDDY! Certainly beat the odds, there, but even if it weren't for those two...."bangers", I'd have to say that I was generally-pleased with the results. Furthermore, I am regretting that I didn't grab 3-6 more while I had the chance. Such is life, I suppose...!?

Well..damn..my last box seemed to be the most loaded. Two Gold Mirrors numbered to 10 and a Metropolis Case hit..but unfortunately struck out on the names on all of them.

These reminded me of a more expensive but also more guaranteed Hoops Premium Stock Premium boxes. Those did fine without autos and despite being on the low end of popular sets similar to Totally Certified brand, all it took was a hot rookie (Wemby there/Daniels here) and a bunch of numbered/sp possibilities. Comparing to NBA yeah one will be dissapointed, but I’m not sure how they are selling now but I think these will have a similar trajectory to hoops premium premium, possibly better if JJ or Penix break out.
