NBA license is effective starting in October, cards shown looked good. Didn’t see anything about Dynasty, besides Topps tweeting that there will be dual MLB Logoman cards in Dynasty this year, which should indicate they’re coming sooner rather than later.

they got people to pay $450 for wwe boxes that resold for $1k at wrestlemania. i never thought i would see it but they do a good job of having all the breakers pump their crap. not even guarantee an auto for that price. i cant wait for topps paper nba and nfl being $300 a box. chrome will be easy $1k or more.

If Topps wanted to play the long game, they should make the first year somewhat affordable. Maybe $80-100 for paper NBA/NFL and $200 for Chrome.

Get everyone excited/talking about it/hooked/increase your base.

But you're probably right. They're going to gouge from the start.

Dude is talking about WWE as if the fan base isn't hardcore. The WWE market is strong, its not like Baseball where a guy isn't performing well. Fans love individual wrestlers whether they're the champ or a mid-carder.

Yes for me on retro products. Love to see these branch out into Football and Basketball. I would guess we the chance is very high since Topps will be pushing to get out 30 sets for the year. All of the name brands will be across all the sports.

While that's good news for those who want continuity, it makes no mention of there being entirely too many parallels in all products to begin with. This is but a small iteration of damage control by Topps/Fanatics, knowing full well the larger amount can't cover up for the price increase.

so they are dumbing down the parallel numbering for the masses. i remember them talking about this when they removed the Blacks from 2025 Flagship S1

all the other things quoted are not for collectors, but for the addicts that they are pandering to now. i get it though.

so no new basbeall products talked about? Seems the talked a lot about non baseball cards and WWE cards though.

I'm a fan of the standardization of Chrome parallels across products, but wish they'd leave the Heritage parallels alone.

At the top of my wish list for next year's meeting is a more predictable release calendar. They'll have all the big licenses going, and they should be able to create a master calendar. My guess is they won't, as they don't want customers saving and avoiding a release for another more popular upcoming one. The unpredictability of their releases is likely a boon for them rather than just incompetence as most always assume. I still want a calendar though dangit. Make the baseball Series 1 release the hobby New Year, and release a calendar that day each year.

Let me preface this by saying I'm not trying to disparage Topps or ultra-modern hobbyists with my comments: I'm glad I didn't start collecting cards during or after the pandemic market. Because the cards I collected prior to the pandemic are generally much better in quality, more affordable, and more desirable than afterwards.

The greed and gambling aspects in this hobby have been steadily ruining the collecting experience for collectors for years now -- this isn't news; I just felt the need to reiterate it while future releases of Topps products are being discussed.
