If adults think a PED makes him go from being a below league average hitter to one of the best in the game, or if adults think he was always on PEDs and they finally worked after all these years, I got lots of beachfront property in Nebraska to sell all of you.
Right, that's what I'm saying. The year he had last year was certainly in the realm of reasonable outcomes based on his entire career. And he has probably been on PEDs his entire career like most guys and he just messed up and got caught.

There was a significant increase in his exit velocity in 2024 compared to previous years and by far his best year in terms of hard contact rate. There's not enough data to compare for bat speed, but 2023 and 2024 were similar. Barrel rate was significantly higher.

2024 was also only his second season where he played more than 150 games or had more than 600 PA. Sounds like a guy that was finally healthy and was seeing the ball very well. Seems more like an adjustment to the swing than an adjustment to the supplements.

Has anyone checked to see if he was using Torpedo bat last year?

The reason a man would use HCG is to stay fertile if they were trying to have children while using other steroids that shut your testes down. Guys don't usually take just HCG. It is very commonly prescribed along with testosterone for TRT which it's possible he was doing through a doctor. But guys also use it when they are on all kinds of other steroids. And it's only injectable as far as I know so it's hard to believe he didn't know what he was taking. I wouldn't inject anything into myself or let anyone else inject something without knowing what it was.

3yrs/$42M guaranteed with PED suspension? If so still a genius move, he’ll still collect $35M.

Now down another 15 million. Maybe he can go for strike 3 and just collect about 6 million from half his season last year.

It didn’t work for ManRam or A-Rod. Why, Jurickson, did you think you could get away with it?

I hated this signing from the start. Now a pretty clear example of a mediocre player roiding in a contract year.

I guess this negates the spring training spike on his cards?

His defense is likely going to be that nandrolone stays in the system for 6 months (more?) and testing occurred during the same window.

Sadly,...he isn't the first, and certainly won't be the last.

Eh I’m pretty sure he was a pretty big deal circa 2012-2013.

I always smirk when I come across this card, but I actually spent an even $100 on a 2011 Bowman chrome 1st ref auto (BGS 9.5/10) at the Chantilly show in very early 2012.

I went with $300 in my pocket, and I came home with this card and two boxes of 2011 Bowman Chrome (Harper chasing)
