Only 145 boxes in stock right now. This is so tempting... as my kids have gotten older, we replaced A Christmas Story with this film for Christmas Eve viewing tradition.

The thing that's making me hesitate is that Chevy has sold these types of cards on his site before. I've looked on his site in the past year or so and he had many different custom Christmas Vacation cards signed for sale. I forget the cost of them, but there were lots of different card designs. I'm not sure if these are the same ones that are littered all over eBay right now but they might be. So what's to say these are any more different or special than those are? They're all the same type of custom cards. The only difference is the cast has signed some now vs just him alone. I want to buy these but for $300 I want to feel these are more "official" than the others he's been selling. And I just don't know that they are.

Is it possible the pig costume card is film-used? If so that's the one I'd want most. Everything else could just be from his personal wardrobe. I can't imagine he has a stash of extra pig costumes or material.

Interesting concept - could have been great if a company like Rittenhouse made it.

But the cards themselves look pretty shoddy to me. And don't know what to do with a signed poster. You guys enjoy.

With a splatter of brown paint on the card too!
Maybe a fake dead cat fur relic card next time.
There are so many possibilities that would be hilarious.

Kohl's department store around me has a table in front of the store with a bunch of Christmas Vacation themed items like Eddie's RV mug, moose mugs, ornaments & clothes.
Nostalgia is strong with our generation!

I see some people posting they have them in hand. It would be nice to see someone post what they got in the box.

I was going back and forth on getting a box, but I have decided against getting one.
This either needed to be $200 a box or boxes needed to guarantee a relic auto & another cast auto.
Breaking down the value I just don't see $300 worth of stuff IMO.

I know Chevy's been signing a lot the past few years, but there will be a day where he's no longer with us and I think you could get your $300 back easy on the mini poster alone at that time, then all the cards are essentially free. Not trying to be morbid, but for this reason if I had $300 to spare right now I'd jump on this.

True he’s been signing…just saw him in the new Leaf military set, and on a bunch of other Leaf sets…..even though it’s Leaf, that’s perhaps a bit more mainstream than this. On the other hand this looks nicer, is possibly in Christmas Vacation attire, and is on card vs a sticker in front of tank, so there’s that.

I decided not to get one just because it’s hard to justify 300, but it’s not that bad a purchase in the current landscape of nonsports with a guaranteed main auto and all the extras. If the guaranteed Chase auto was a card it would have been more tempting for me..I suppose I could frame the poster but I do prefer cards generally.

I don't like Chevy Chase enough to spend $300 on a chance at an auto, so I passed. Wouldn't mind a Randy Quaid auto though but the odds are not with me, I'll probably buy one off Ebay once they start hitting.

Spotted this for sale on eBay. Looks very similar to the one in this box. So I'm guessing the Chevy cards in this box are going to be practically the same as the ones he's been selling on his site for some time now. There's a ton of them on eBay in all sorts of design variations.

It bugs me that they made the Griswolds possessive. It's the little things.

This video isn't to say all of these have been packed out in these boxed sets, but it is meant to show you all what they look like up close.

To all who buy, I hope you all enjoy them (especially if you land a card I created! )

So breaking down the auto's then...

Hat - 40
Jersey - 50
Pig - 50
Script - 50

Total is 190 autos

That leaves the remaining 5 signers plus Chevy on card to around 20 cards each. This will be one heck of a chase set.
Starting to think not all the relic autos are packed out in these boxes like mouschi hinted at.

I picked up a box for nostalgia, not necessarily as an investment -- which was good, since the quality of the box wasn't great.

- The auto poster was pixelated and appears to have been hand-cut. It's 8" x 11" -- not 8.5", which would have been easier to frame.
- The cards were poor quality and unnumbered. No idea how large the set is -- or if the set is really just the six cards that were included.
- Got unlucky with the hit -- an auto of Miriam Flynn (Catherine). Definitely the worst auto and, personally, I'd have preferred the hat or jersey relic, too.
- The pewter ornament (https://www.danforthpewter.com/moose-mug-ornament/) is nice. The coaster is fine, but you have to know the movie to appreciate it. Deck of cards will get used this holiday season. The popcorn will not.

Thanks for the update. Makes my decision easier to just buy singles.

Strange no singles have even popped up on ebay yet.

Appreciate the honest review. Disappointing to hear the quality is lacking.

Any chance you can show the back of the autograph card? Is it just one of the base cards signed or is there something to differentiate it? Thanks.

First, we're seeing autographed cards used in past drops (not unique to this box set).

Second, how mouschi worded it: "This video isn't to say all of these have been packed out in these boxed sets, but it is meant to show you all what they look like up close." Probably going to see these auto relics pop up (as chase hits) in other drops.

Third, there's nothing that states all auto relics produced by mouschi would even be used for this box set.

Who knows, I could be wrong. Just a feeling I have. Need to see some boxes ripped to get a better idea.

They really should have used a proofreader when making that card.

If I were considering buying, that would be an instant turn-off.
