I'm very interested to see how this plays out. I had a FedEx driver straight up steal a pair of Jordans from me and neither FedEx or my credit card company did anything for me. My regular driver was gone at a training, me and him have a good Astros vs Yankees rivalry banter going so I was waiting for him to come by with my shoes on the day they were supposed to be delivered. Well I get an alert that my package has been delivered and a picture of someone else's doorstep. Long story short. The manager at the local FedEx center basically admitted the driver stole my package without using the word "stole". Visa, FedEx, and Flight Club all blamed each other and nobody did anything for me in the end. Hopefully OP's story has a better ending than mine

I would suggest doing a President/Executive complaint with Fedex. I have been out of the overnight express business for many years but this should still get you some attention to the situation if you deem it so.
I have seen everything from the police drug dogs on packages, to the deliveries to abandoned locations, to the exploding dye packs inside of the driver's vehicle and on the driver!!! While I worked for one of the other overnight express companies (from driver to managing 3 facilities); they all have the executive type complaints. Find the executive or president of the company number/email and file a complaint to the top--copy in the shippers executive peeps too. Yes you can go within their system and get to some places with Customer Service couple levels up Management, which at times serves the purpose; other times you have to get the story out there so the big wigs can see it and the ball then rolls down hill to get resolution/results. This should get their Fraud and Security Control Department involved too from the higher up positions down to the local barn/facility. As a long/last shot there is always social media and news media exposure. |

This June I had a fairly significant item (5 figure card) sent to me from Heritage via FedEx. I was at work that day and had a sitter at the house. At 12:26pm I got a text that said the package with delivered and signed for (mispelled my name in the text message). I called the sitter and she said nothing has been delivered and nothing signed for. She then walked down my street checking neighbors porches to see if it was delivered at the wrong house. Nothing.
She knew someone at the local FedEx office and drove there on my behalf and explained. They were very concerned and said there should at least be a photo and signature confirmation, but there was nothing in their system. They said they would investigate and to check back the next day. 5:30pm and she checks the front porch again. There it is. My best guess is that driver was going to steal the item, figured out they were about to be in trouble at work and went back to my house and dropped it off 5 hours after I "signed for it". I called Heritage to let them know for future reference. |
