It’s incredible that we’ve jumped from $15-$22 a pack to whatever the heck it’ll be tomorrow, in just a few years.
The crazy thing for me is that although I loved that set, I thought at $15/pack it was expensive at the time and having a base set with 9 cards of that were limited to /99 was frustrating, little did I know that I would be longing to go BACK to $15/pack....

It is amazing how much pricier the nonsports hobby has become in the last 8 years since ePack began. I think Captain America was $5.99 a pack. And Marvel Annual 2016 and Dinosaurs lasted for years at $2.99 a pack.

Now the hobby is very much driven by lottery ticket hits and set collectors are priced out for the most part unless they have deep pockets. Cross set trading also seemed easier in the early days of ePack when there were fewer sets available.

It's mindboggling how many Marvel sets are on e-Pack right now. I counted 27. MM22 will make it 28.

Wasn't it just a year or two ago there were maybe four Marvel sets? Two of them (Marvel Cyber and The Defenders) are still available.

I'm curious to see how the e-Pack site performs at 9AM PT/12PM ET. Will it crash temporarily or are we looking at multiple hours of downtime?

What happens to all the stuff on epack when UD loses the license? Are they still allowed to sell it or does it become a fire sale or do they throw them in the river?

Cards you own will stay there and can still be traded, transferred, and cashed in for achievements. They posted a news article about a month ago with details.

The big unanswered question is whether or not they will still be able to sell existing Marvel products in the shop after Fanatics starts selling Marvel under its global license sometime in Q1 of 2025.

I completed 2 base sets of 2018 and 2 purple sets (not including insert sets) and 1.1 of 2020. I don't think I will come close to those again.

Good luck to buyers!
I'm off to work and will miss the sale, which is for the best, as it's a little rich for me. I think this edition is among the very best MM sets.
Post some pulls, and info like how much they cost and how fast they sold out. The latter is great info for future readers.

I look forward to reading an FPG published hardcover collection of it, 30 years from now.
Where do I sign up?!

If this is less than $50 a pack, I'll be shocked. Unbound is $15 for one card? MM22 should be at least $20 or more a card.

Good luck to all!

The calm before the storm…lol.

Good luck everyone. Would be thrilled with even $50 a pack at this point.

Three packs, site surprisingly stable. Only hit was a Preserved in Amber Orange /15 of... Hercules.

I am intentionally staying away from Facebook. I don't think I could handle all the "I just hit this, what's it worth?" posts. So tiring.

43 a pack is not bad.

17 achievements, so a lot to go for. Unfortunately looks like no unused art, just the usual acetates etc. silver spectrum canvas gallery auto looks interesting as an achievement and is new.

A few nice commons like MoonKnight, Jessica Jones, and Sabretooth.

Why the assumption the end of the license period means canned sets cant still be sold? Would expect it depends on the verbiage of the license agreement and it may just stop the production period, but sales can extend beyond the production license.

Just opened 4 packs....felt like being a little risky today....

2022 Marvel Masterpieces Legendary Orange Foil Parallel: X23 /99

2022 Marvel Masterpieces Battle Spectrum Gems Red Parallel: Iron Man/Hulk /50

Feel like I just got extremely lucky.

Honestly I've had the same question all along. In my mind ePack is just another store. It just happens to be owned by UD. I would assume that any set officially released can still be sold on ePack after the license transition date. It would be like saying b&m stores could not sell past that date just because the license moved, which is crazy.

But yeah, it really depends on that verbiage that we will never see (but would be able to guess at some point).
