Easily found if you google it.

I know Panini has been so far behind for a while now, but one would think Hoops and/or Donruss would be achievable by the expiration (unless the contract spells out 2024-25 year cards as the end, but that those can be produced through October).

I am not a huge fan of Panini - they are OK - but I would have loved to see Topps back in the game if it wasn’t simply a Fanatics label as it is today.
It is worth noting that ‘Hoops’ is not a Panini brand, it is owned by the NBA and they then license it out to a card conpany to produce the cards. Originally, it was Skybox, then Fleer when they merged with Skybox and more recently Panini. So there is every possibility the NBA will give Fanatics the opportunity to produce it when they become the sole licensee.

This is what Panini still has to release for 24-25:

- Mosaic
- Photogenic
- Optic
- Noir
- NT
- Contenders
- Immaculate
- Flawless
- Obsidian
- Spectra

I think Black, Elite, Phoenix, Recon and Crown Royale are done. I think Contenders Optic gets merged into Contenders. I won't be shocked if they end up punting Obsidian and Spectra because of time issue.

That means around 3 months for 8 products (although it seems that Mosaic is ready to go so it'll be 7). That's doable and they can do a couple of 25-26 ones.

The tricky thing is the licensing. Does it end on October 1st or October 31st? Does it mean that Panini can't release more product after those dates or are there any exceptions/workaround for it?

In 2009, the door slammed shut on Topps & Upper Deck when the NBA handed Panini an exclusive license. I suspect we will see a couple more releases announced for September and they will then concentrate on getting Football products out the door for the next six months.

I personally don't expect any 25-26 stuff from panini. 24-25 will be the end. Just my "opinion".

Just like Panini didn't allow Topps and UD to hang around, Panini will be gone.

Exactly. It will help move their garbage non-licensed cards.

Everything we've been led to believe is that there is a for sure class cut off date. 24-25 is it for basketball. 25 is it for football. The question is whether or not Panini can still keep releasing products for the classes that fall before the cutoff date. Like say the end date for the license is Oct. 1. Can Panini still release 24-25 basketball products after that?

Panini has not listed any 25-26 NBA Draft Night cards. Unless for some reason they sell those next week there will be no 25-26 Panini basketball licensed cards. Same with no 2026 football licensed cards.

I don't think they can, Mosaic is being released almost a month earlier than last year's version. If they could, they would just drag it out and release 24-25 Flawless by the end of the 25-26 season.

Maybe Panini can get around it for a few months if they show those products are already being produced and just haven't been released yet. If the hard cutoff date is Oct. 1 or even 31st there is no chance they will come close to releasing as many NBA products as they did for 23-24.

I think they are already cutting a few, Elite normally gets released early and didn't come out this year. I think more are to come, I won't be shocked if Contenders doesn't make it either.

I don't think the NBA will care if products are being produced, it's the release date that matters. I wonder if Panini can get away with "releasing" a product before the deadline by selling a few boxes directly and then doing the rest a few weeks or months later.

thats what i think panini has no rights to make any licensed 25-26 cards. like you said its been 4 days since the draft and no instant cards. i also saw on there instagram some players with a generic panini hat instead of the team hat.

Panini was slower with last year’s draft stuff, I asked them and was told they would be making 2025 Instant draft cards.

So now there's also One and One and Silhouette added.

I think this means no Contenders, Obsidian or Spectra. Mosaic is being released tomorrow and PhotoGenic next week so they'll have about 8 weeks to release 8 products. It's gonna be tight.

The Panini sticker dump will be off the charts. Can’t even begin to imagine how many tens of thousands of scrub stickers are still left over from guys who are irrelevant or who’ve been out of the league for years. Dollar bins rejoice.

This has to be a first. The box says 8 autographs or memorabilia. The product page says 1 autograph and 7 memorabilia. I wonder what the 2nd highest amount listed on a box ever that says auto or mem where you only get 1 auto per box.

I really hope Fanatics buys the Donruss brand. The Rated Rookie logo is iconic.

Panini posted images & video on social media of Jaylen Willis signing Immaculate, Flawless & One & One cards.

https://www.instagram.com/p/DL-h6zHvH_V/?img_index=1

I have absolutely no idea how they are going to release these cards before October when the Topps NBA license activates.

Are they going down the WNBA Rookie Royalty route before the door slams shut!?
