So this set is basically Hoops Chrome. The Hoopla and Sheesh inserts were part of 2023-24 Hoops set.

The inserts in the spreadsheet are the same ones in 23-24 Hoops.

If your real card opening goal is to:

simply rip something
have fun & enjoy the rip
collect who/what you want to collect
sell/trade the rest of it
potentially have a net-gain; vice, what you spent on the product in question (ie; hit a "decent" card)


....then 2023-24 Premium Stock, ABSOLUTELY is the product you want! 4, WM boxes....incoming, tomorrow, and I can't wait to rip 'em!

Agreed.

I see the premium boxes having 1 auto, 1 premium insert, and probably 2-4 numbered cards.

I'd take that over 4 blasters of anything Panini has put out this year.

Wemby doesn't have autos though so for this specific product you'd probably want to consider four blasters for numbered/rookies/inserts. If it's over two numbered per premium though I agree.

I must be one of the only ones but I'm excited for this set. I think bringing this back and introducing Deca were smart moves. I'd rather them separate sets than just thrown in a Chronicles or something (Prizm Black looking at you)and both will look good imo. The original premium stock was the first pandemic panic rushes I remember, to each their own but if you got caught holding a bag from it you likely were clearing out Walmarts lol it's Wemby so won't be cheap but I think it's good there is a Topps-Chrome (even though there is chrome) like rookie that will actually be affordable. I would much rather own a HPS Wemby rookie than some dumb bronze parallel from Chronicles because it is rarer.

Depends how much is produced I guess. But Walmart is shipping these already and I don't see them all over, so might be a smaller print run than normal on the premium boxes.

I wonder why the dropped Hoops from the original Hoops Premium Stock brand name.

It's clearly intentional.

I'd assume it's because the 2019-20 HPS product, which started hot, ended up being overprinted garbage and they don't want that association to adversely impact 2023-24 PS sales.

Its still on the Packaging/Boxes. They can pretend its not Hoops Premium Stock, we know better.

So, presumably, Panini came to the realization that....naming a HOOPS product, "premium",....was pretty much ironic/contradictory; telling the consumers: "come buy our 'premium', cheapie-cheap product". Simply naming the product PREMIUM STOCK (if only from a marketing/sales standpoint),....minus, the HOOPS notation, probably increases interest & desirability, IMO.

Yeah, I'm just not a fan of the re-brand attempt.

Feels like Panini is trying to pass it off as a whole new product when it's just the re-birth of an old one that bombed.

Seems deceptive, and knowing Panini, they probably did it intentionally to increase sales. Leaving HPS in the brand name might've deterred many from purchasing it (that's how traumatizing 2019-20 HPS was).

I hope these are completely new photos like 19-20 and Haunted Hoops, and not just a Chrome reprint of the base Hoops set. That would kill it dead in the water for me. 19-20 was a nice set that they killed with overproduction and no follow-up lineage until now.

They probably dropped "Hoops" because everyone called it Premium Stock anyway back then lol it wasn't really Panini disassociating from it, I remember people asking in Walmart if they had any "Premium Stock", online this forum "anyone get some premium stock megas", I rarely if ever heard people add the Hoops lol

Retro Net Marvels Premium? That sounds awesome, hopefully there are parallels. I like My House a lot but these will probably be better if done right.

They better. Because the higher price due to the 1 auto per box doesn't make sense since the auto checklist is so terrible.

Looks like every card in the premium walmart boxes is a prizm, looks like a choice parallel.

So you get 50 prizms, 1 auto, probably 1 rarer insert, and numbered cards. If it's up to 10 per box, this is the best retail product of all time.
