I guess we are lucky it was just the Southern portion of Sudan and not the entire Sudan. World caught up I hear.

Somewhere around 8 minutes change in the third quarter I thought I was witnessing prime Anthony Edwards and then I realized it was S. Sudan on the tiny screen.

LeBron had one of his more memorable dunks on a Jrue feed late in the 3rd quarter to bring it to within 6.

Honestly, US could have used someone on the secondary to rev them up like a McConnell.

I thought South Sudan had some monsters on the team but Taco Fall or Bol Bol wasn't on this roster and the two NBA players that I saw on the roster were junk journeymen.

If I didn't know any better I would think the US was tanking the game....

The big takeaway from USA vs South Sudan is that Royal Ivey should start a podcast so he can get head coaching gig

Best US and A team of all time!

Needing LeBron to have a great game is a cause for concern for this team. He can't do that every night and he won't always get an easy lay up for the win.

What a great game though.

Kinda wish S. Sudan won. Winning means little for the US. MFers there have been dealing with ethnic cleansing and have zero indoor courts in Sudan.

Be nice if the NBA and world of basketball provided a conduit for democratic and transparent capacity-building projects in Africa, rather than all this violent, underhanded sh- we hear about.

LeBron's reason for the close game "they've been in camp training longer than us"

Oh man. So clueless.

The team had at least a few key players who were foreign nationals of South Sudanese ancestry.

This wasn't some basketball version of Cool Runnings nearly knocking off the Dream Team.

Really puts things into perspective when you realize they had zero running water (much less Gatorade) on the sidelines. Yet clawed tooth and nail like Liberian freedom fighters til the final buzzer.

Never been more proud to be a LeMerican.

Should have been a real Olympian that gets this platform once every 4 years.

There is no such thing, all these olympians train year round and do competitions years round. All these sprinters are pros.

It always feels weird when I'm cheering on LeBron, but then again, I love America.

USA!

Lebron with a ridiculous 4th quarter. That was a vintage performance.

How long has Windhorst been married to Lebron?

LeBron just brings a sense of respect and honest effort to the game. I'll give him that. If the US wins or loses, it's ultimately on his shoulders.

If Ty needs to rest his hamstring for the good of his career to get them there, so be it.

I think they used to be tight bc they both graduated from SVSM and Windhorst basically started covering LeBron from day 1.

But then they had a falling out when LeBron went to Miami.

Dunno if they patched things up.
