If the first pitch at a Twins game was any indication, JJ McCarthy can't throw.

Just scooped up a Sam Darnold Optic Contenders Auto for dirt cheap

I know he’s had injuries but something seems really off with Burks. Maybe he needs a new scene. There’s been rumors of him being traded.

Yeah not sure. His teammates have been hyping him up recently, which doesn’t mean much, but I just think Titans offense will put up big numbers this year. Burks can be found super cheap so why not

No doubt is if it’s cheap. But he has Calvin Ridley, DHop and Tyler Boyd in his way currently. Just don’t see many targets for him at the moment.

As a Patriots fan, I will be collecting Patriots cards and especially rookies. This year, they have 2 rookie QB's going into camp - both of whom I think will make the team. So I anticipate putting out more money than in past years.

I like Caleb so I'll pick up a few of his cards as well. And some MHJ, who was pretty darn expensive for a non-QB in the BUC releases.

As for guys I bought up last year and now I'm sitting on their stuff:

- Desmond Ridder
- Sam Howell
- Kyle Trask (Forgive me, Majestik)
- Mike White
So what you're saying is go opposite of your direction. Got it.

The things I spend money on are more akin to putting the eggs in a wet paper sack.

That's a been general Blowout knowledge for years. I actually PM Sleeper every year now before the draft to let him know which guys I like so that he can avoid wasting money on them.

It started in 2013 with Tyler Wilson (3rd round QB who never took an NFL snap), Jonathan Franklin (brutal neck injury, career over during rookie season), and Terrance Williams (DUI arrests quickly derailed a promising career).

Aside from two or three Mike White performances and anytime Sam Howell plays the Eagles, it's been all downhill with my prospects from there.

Both played 15 games:

Herbert: 4336yds/31 Passing TDs/10 INTs/66.6% CP/98.3 RTG

Stroud: 4108yds/23 Passing TDs/5 INTs/63% CP/100 RTG

You can’t hype up Stroud but then downplay Herbert.

Piggybanx cards are going to the Moon, or so I have heard.

The only thing I have been buying in Football recently is 50/60's HOF cards. Let people invest in QB's like Stroud who is more likely to become Deshaun Watson than John Elway. I will take all the nice Unitas and Starr cards which unless it is their RC, no one cares about.

Yes, Herbert threw 8 more tds ( a rc record 31 tds) and ran for 2 more than Stroud. He also had 96 more pass attempts ( offensive play calling), 5 more ints (higher int %), a lower qbr, and almost 25% of his passes were to running backs.

Not to mention Stroud broke the single game rc passing record and tied the td record, and broke the records for most passes without an int to start a career.

But let’s talk about projections based on last years stats.

Stroud beat Herbert in every meaningful stat last year. Even if you average in the 2 less games Herbert played last year, Stroud still beats him. Even if you match stats from 2022 where Herbert played 2 more games, Stroud is either really close or ahead of Herbert.

So yes, in 2024 there is no argument that Herbert is better than Stroud.

By this, Herbert is the best qb ever since he holds the rc record for td’s right?

Herbert’s last 2 years have not been top 5 even if you average out to compensate for the missed games.

Saying Herbert is better cause he had a great rc season 4 years ago is terrible justification for saying he is better than Stroud today. I guess we should crown Herbert the goat over Brady, Rodgers, Montana, and every other qb that’s ever played.

You can’t say someone is the 2nd best QB in the league after one season with 23 TDs lmao!

Stroud should try to throw for 5000k yards first and then we can talk. Hopefully he can at least be somewhat close to Herbert then.

Stroud had a great rookie year but we have to see more. Plenty of guys had one good year then fell off. I like what the Texans are doing so he should have even more help this year.

Stroud had a very impressive year in which it was his role to operate in the confines of the offense.

Which should be noted, because while he did maximize the opportunity that was given to him, the offense wasn't handed over to him the way it is to other top QBs in the league like Mahomes, Allen, etc. This proved evident in the Ravens game, where the offense they were running was ineffective. Houston didn't turn the ball over, but they needed Stroud to make risky or high level plays in order to get anywhere against that defense and he was unable. Now, he's a rookie, so you wouldn't expect him to be making those plays either, but eventually he's going to have to if he wants to become a next level QB. (He's 22, so he very well may be able to improve enough to make up for the ground he'll lose once the book is out on him).

I’m saying he will be in 2024. Not that he is at this moment, but he will be. And Herbert throwing for 5k yards 3 years ago doesn’t make him good now.
