21-22 released 12/20/23 so I'd guess no sooner than this December and likely not until early 2025

Has anyone heard anything in terms of a release date yet?

We know 2020-21 released on February 23, 2023, and 2021-22 on December 20, 2023, so I'd say it's almost a lock for 2024 at some point, but no way would it be prior to the season starting, since they'll want it to overlap with actual hockey being played. Probably the best way to estimate the date would be to look at when the first images of 2021-22 were released and see how much time it took for actual release to occur, and then bank on a similar time frame for 2022-23.

I think the big question is whether there'll be any sticker autos or redemptions, as all SPA autos were live. Fingers crossed.

So does that mean we won’t see Bedard RPA until 2026??!???

Well for the Cup, no, and I won't see one ever because no way in hell am I paying $1600/tin or whatever godawful price they're going to charge for this watered down obscenity.

Far far from a lock to release 22/23 this year.

It has been confirmed that The Cup 22/23 and 23/24 won't merge so probably Dec. 2024 for 2022-23 and at the end of 2025 for 2023-24

Not wild about the regular RPAs, but the Exquisite RCs that are jersey numbered look great. Dual shields are long overdue, considering Ultimate has had them for a while. I'm not sure though why there is a need for both Limited Logos (these look good as well) and the new Expanded Materials Autos - is one going to be game used and the other not? And don't forget this set will likely have update RPAs of three pretty big players in MacTavish, Eklund and Gustavsson, to go with an already very good rookie class.

I see it as highly unlikely that UD releases SPA and Cup, its two marquee products, mere weeks apart. I'm guessing November at the earliest, but maybe even into December. And we can go by 21-22, where it was at least a couple of months after first images were released and actual release.

Says Premier releases the 28th of august (original date was in June). I'd think that you would see 22/23 Premier release before the cup.

I know we haven't seen officially cards yet, but these look to be the nicest cards from The Cup we have seen in a few years.

Feel like it should be at a fairly affordable price too (for The Cup at least) with the weaker rookie class and competing with Bedard year products coming out.

Can agree that they finally look like ultra-premium designs. You literally can't do worse than those chemical composition cards for the highest-end product. Stuff looked like MVP chase cards.

I'm also a fan of the "The Show" inserts returning, hopefully they're just as clean as 21-22. However, it looks like some of those those big booklets will be sticker autos, which is really disappointing.

Don't think we'll get the price coming down any time soon, unfortunately.

Gunna rephrase what I said earlier At initial release I don't see a cheaper price, but with all the competition of Bedard year products, I don't see it long after before the price drops.

Zero chance this is cheaper from the get go, as look no further than the price for cases of 21-22 vs. 22-23 SPA, with the latter being about $10+ higher per box on average. And as I said, you're getting Eklund, McTavish, and Gustavsson RPAs plus other updates in 22-23 Cup, which is a pretty big deal.

That all having been said, if 23-24 SPA has huge legs, and this comes out not too long afterwards, wallet fatigue might soften prices pretty quickly. Big if though....

A large online retailer has public pricing as follows for 22-23 the Cup:

$929.95 per Tin
$5,499.95 per six box case

The real question is, what % of cards are worth the 150/card being charged.

The product based on previews looks very much like overkill and just blah. Ill stick to the classics of SPA FW and Young Guns.

I'll believe it when I see the checklist released haha but if that is the case, what's happening with 22/23 Premier...? Shelved and merged into 23/24 Premier?
