Take the kids to B.A. Sweetie’s on Brookpark Rd. It’s not too far from Parma. Huge candy store with lots of nostalgic items too.

West 25th St area has some nice restaurants and breweries. E. 4th St nice little area as well by Progressive Field.

Agreed best to stay downtown or a nice suburb and get a rental car.

Some are dirt cheap compared to Rosemont...maybe there is a reason? Where is everyone staying? Near the area or downtown?
I always stay in Middleburg Heights. I used to go there on trips to take photos of trains in neighboring Berea before going to the National there. I have stayed at about 4 hotels over the years in Middleburgh Heights and never have had an issue.

I'll be staying in Beachwood. Will be a bit of a drive but hotel has good reviews for a good price. Also saw some good options in Independence.

The wife and kids will be doing 1 day each at the art museum and botanical garden. Haven't looked much at other activities. Heard the zoo is not bad.

Thinking about going this year, would be my 1st. How early do you need to buy tickets, does it sell out quickly?

If I go, I'll probably drive since its about 8 hours to Cleveland from here. Would be fun to see the football HoF and check out the poker room at the Jack while I'm there too.

Huh? The IX center is 15 minutes from Progressive Field in downtown Cleveland. You can almost get to downtown Columbus in 1 hour 45 minutes from the IX.

Yes, by bicycle. Toggle three spots to the left on Google Maps for the car mode.

I would agree that if you are going to "see the sights" then the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a must see. Although if you do go you probably need to make it an all day or at least half of day affair. There is a ton to see and that assume you don't watch any of the videos or that movie that shows their HOF winners.

Also I believe Canton is only about 45 minutes away. Not sure if it is worth an extended day though.

Debating on making a family vacation out of the deal or simply taking them on a separate one. There's no shortage of attractions plus Niagara Falls isn't too far up the road. The flip side is three of the five are not at all into cards and we'd end up split up for parts of couple days minimum.

Is the VIP worth the expense if someone is only going to attend two, maybe three, of the days?

This thread is fun

The La Quinta at Puritas is fine. Stayed there many times if that’s the one being referenced

Ride the train nerds. It’s not that hard

If you’re afraid of the train at night just get an Uber. You don’t need a rental car unless you are going somewhere outside of Ohio City or Downtown

If you want actual advice I’m happy to help but this thread is comical to me

Cleveland is a super easy show for the National if you have any idea what you are doing

Correct. You absolutely can if you’re cruising at 80

Don't torture your family with a vacation to Cleveland

That's too bad. Cards are much cheaper now than when you loaded up during the pandemic. You'd really enjoy it.

Spoke to a rep at NSCC today and she said the "All Access VIP" package on sale now at the current $329 price is the highest level of package this year,
meaning the old and silly named "Super VIP" package to double up the giveaways will NOT be offered at any point.

That said, if you want any extra perks that VIP levels have, you will need to get what's on sale now or that's it.

I saw no info in emails from NSCC that this would be the case for 2024, so many held off buying tickets since all the fine print says "No exchange or refunds. No refunds of service fees."

Hope this extra info helps, and again source of this was calling the media number on the NSCC site.

Thanks!
