Worst Single Game performance: Neil O’Donnell being the only QB in history to throw a SB without being paid by the other team to do so.

Worst Human: Antonio Brown. Not going to overthink this one.
Worst case of hype letdown that really shouldn't have surprised us but still hurt: Dri Archer.

That's a funny way of spelling Amos Zereoué.

I read it as Chris Fuamatalafala.

Or something like that.

OJ Simpson was a 49er.

Lots of hype detailed by no more than a strong wind. Calvin Austin may still break the mold.

I'm surprised Niner fans haven't considered former 1st rounder and 8-year team player JJ Stokes. That guy had a worst career thanks to the longevity and not being OG Ruben Brown there two picks later. Brown had a fine 13-year career as a perennial Pro Bowler. They clearly had a need there as their next pick was a Guard.

Stokes was not a bad player though. He just wasn’t Jerry or T.O. He had a decent run with the Niners.

Forgot about OJ.

Todd Pinkston- couldn't catch a cold

Nnamdi Asomugha- the less that is said about the 'dream team' the better. If there was a list of biggest FA busts he should make every one.

A knucklehead? That’s a bit of an understatement.

I’ve had this conversation enough times to not even care anymore. If you think Ben is guilty, cool.

As a Vikings fan I want to say Kirk Cousins.

But in sober reality, it has to be 1st rounder DE Erasmus James. Out of Wisconsin was nicknamed "Eraser" but all he erased was his career as he had difficulty actually tackling anyone.

Close second is WR Troy Williamson (South Carolina) who was drafted 1st round to replace Randy Moss. So yeah who is Troy Williamson? Enough said.

Worst Career - Dan Mcwire. Made worse because it should have been Favre but Behring didn't like him. Some would say Aaron Curry but he wasn't bad at 1st. He was all over the field playing chippy/through the whistle...then he was fined 2 games in a row and after that he just held back/was never the same.

Worst single game performance - The entire 1979 team offense with a game where they netted a whopping - 7 yards.

Worst Human - It's the NFL so too many to list. Worst crimes were probably Kellen Winslow the 3rd and Phillip Adams( He played for many teams so he could be used many times in this thread) He shot 6 people who all died.

JJ was not a bust. i think people forget that he started his career hurt in 95', and then in 96', Owens blew up and really took over that #2 spot.

JJ was a good complimentary WR to Rice and Owens. i know that's not what he was drafted for, but he wasn't bad either.

he's one of my all-time favorite players, so i'll defend him!

Option 1 - Do I acknowledge the lifelong 49er fans who watched all the games, followed the team closely, and know more about a player than what I remember from the back of a football card and reading on Pro Football Reference or...

Option 2 - Feel personally assaulted by a difference of opinion and dig in even harder to my position by insulting everyone who disagrees with a gif in the time honored tradition of BO cesspooling?

haha

i think us 49er fans are more than fair and will fully acknowledge a bust of a player when we see one.

hopefully that helps a little bit.

That 2005 draft was absolutely brutal for the Vikes

Former bears offensive lineman j‘Marcus Webb

He was so bad, with such slow footwork, it’s a wonder how jay cutler didn’t get sacked almost every play (oh wait, he did!)

Worst career? easily Jim Drunkenmiller.

other notables include Mike Rumph, Rashaun Woods, and AJ Jenkins

Worst single game performance? 49-3 loss against the Giants in 1987. Montana injured.

Worst human being? Dana Stubblefield, Jarryd Hayne, Lawrence Phillips, CJ Spillman

I remember the Chiefs & 9ers trading their disappointing WR draft picks for each other (Jenkins for Baldwin) hoping a change of scenery would help them both.

the entire 49ers 2012 draft was just a straight up bust.

yet, we were 5-yards away from winning the SB with LaMichael James in there. idk how that happened.
