Well yeah.

Probably because every player is leveraging their bodyweight as a human projectile.

Skill position players incur the equivalent of multiple car accidents worth of trauma per match. That's not including all the massive bodies constantly falling on legs and ankles every down.

Futbol de gringo by the widest of margins.

This didn't require a pole.

This is the truth. Football and rugby players play hurt all the time.

Also, NFL players wear lots of protection, padding, helmets, in NBA they wear none. Not to mention, the constant jumping and running back in forth in Basketball, hard falls on wooden floors. Every year I try to guess teams that will make it to playoffs, championship, etc. and it seems like every year multiple teams star player gets injured and ruins their chances. Thoughts ?

grass and dirt are not softer falls when it is someone tackling you down to it. How many times has an NBA player run across the length of the court and tackled another player down to the ground with whatever force they can? Also NFL players wear padding and helmets and their bodies are still put through hell which tells you all you need to know about the high risk of energy. And your argument for basketball is that its a high risk because they jump a lot and run back and forth?? How many NBA players suffered with concussions last season compared to the NFL? How many NBA players had broken bone or ligament damage injuries compared to the NFL? Come on, man

I know that I’ve learned that HS soccer is very injury filled. I was told by several drs that the sport accounts for more concussions than HS football. Ankles, knees, etc. it’s terribly rough with horrible falls and zero padding, at top sprint speeds.

It's funny to hear fans call basketball players soft when most of them would be laid up in bed for a week after 1 game...just from the contact that wasn't called a foul.

but when comparing to other sports, as we are doing, its absolutely true and the shape of the fan saying it has no bearing on it

In playing fantasy hockey, football and basketball for years. A lot more managing roster due injuries in basketball than the other 2 sports which are both contact sports.

There are very few major injuries in the NBA. A lot of small ones like sprains, but you don't see a lot of ligament tears like say football.

That's only because teams let players sit with minor injuries. NFL players don't miss games until they can physically do it.
