Comparing this product to the overhyped and flooded prizm garbage is absurd

What this product has that prizm doesn't have is the PMG cards.....Look at all of the other Metal Universe products across the board and what box prices are selling for.....I imagine this will be the same.....That alone separates it from that prizm trash....Plus all of the other inserts, autos, and other stuff that's added.....And i imagine this product will be more limited than prizm

Have a nice day!....Carry on!
It's a cool product, no doubt, it'll just be way overpriced. I heard the same story when Gold Prizms were coming for WWE, that these were the first time Gold Prizms were coming and that it was going to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. Then they came out and wrestling collectors barely seemed to care. Also, you want to talk about flooded, Upper Deck is great at that, look no further than how much product they printed for Spider-Man Metal.

I've yet to be wrong on any of these new wrestling releases, so if this is the first time I am, I will happily admit it. I still think that anything above $150 a box and people will be losing 95% of the time. Select showed that $150 or so is a sweet spot for wrestling cards in my mind.

That's what I've been seeing also. The other thing I think people are forgetting is you're talking about Spider-Man...a sixty year old proven property... arguably the most recognized super hero in the world.

AEW is no where near that level of popularity. If this were a WWE product, sure, I could see it fetching crazy prices...still would say it would be over priced...but I could at least understand it. There might be one or two people that will be chased in PMG...but I don't think people are going to be clamoring for an Orange Cassidy or Luchasaurus PMG.

All good points....But it's hard to compare Gold Prizms to the PMG's....Especially the Greens.....The Green PMG's are probably the modern day grails of the last 25 years or so in my opinion

I've met and talked to wealthy people over the years from all over the world who know nothing about cards asking what's one investment that would hold its value i tell them the following

T-206 Wagner
1986 Fleer Basketball Sealed Case (If you can find an authentic one...I wouldn't touch a box after the National controversy )
Green PMGs....Pro Sports/Non sport (No college crap)

Plus in this set you have Jambalayas (Another iconic set that's stood the test of time) plus so many others

But like you said we shall see how it plays out....And to be honest with you anymore i buy boxes/cases and hold them myself..That's just me!

So you think guys/investors that don't want Jordan collegiate PMGs will want AEW wrestling PMGs?

Comparing AEW cards to WWE is pretty absurd. Especially if CM Punk gets fired/leaves AEW. Who knows how much Punk stuff would go down. Punk and Sting would be the only wrestlers that would crack the top 12-15 if you did highest sellers for a WWE set vs AEW set. Top few are by far WWE.

At least the wrestling fans have warned people earlier on in the thread this time, if people think a Britt Baker PMG is going to be worth thousands of dollars in a couple years, that's a risk they can take.

I'll sure I'll buy a box as long as its not stupid-priced as I tend to buy at least one box of all wrestling products. But I'm going in accepting I'll lose money on ROI, I just like opening stuff.

Green PMG's absolutely....The other PMG's hard to say....Like everyone has said time will tell

I'll be glad to admit if i'm wrong but i got a hunch this one will do well....And like i said earlier i'd love for it to bottom up just for the fact i could buy it up and sit on it

I didn't compare AEW to WWE....Go back and read the statement....I compared Gold prizms to Green PMG's

Also this stuff has jambalayas as well as all other old school inserts that people love from way back when

If AEW is around for any good amount of time and doesn't go belly up these could be the "grail" of AEW cards

Again my opinion...We shall see

Oops! I think the AEW aspect got kind of lost in the shuffle back there.

Now I'm thinking 150 might be too much

There's that too. Again, if I'm wrong then I'm happy to admit it, but wrestling boxes that start out north of $200 are generally a losing proposition. If this product is $400 or more then I will feel zero sympathy for people who buy to invest or break.

As someone who hasn't busted a box of wrestling 2016 Topps Undisputed, I will be opening this product anything short of $300. I don't think I've opened any product since 2019 NBA prior to the boom.

I'm just one person, but I suspect the demand will be there for these.

I'd choose AEW Metal over WWE Prizm.

I hope you're right and i'm wrong....I'd love to buy these boxes for $150 or less....All day...Every day!.....These have Green PMG's......Nuff said!

Even though i hate them the college Green PMG's are desired and in high demand as well...Just wanna clarify that from a previous statement

I'd be surprised if this comes out before summer of 2023 at their current pace, who knows what the card market will be by then. Seems like a bad business decision to announce these too early since some fans may just skip the next couple releases as they wait for Metal Universe.

You said the investors want green PMGs but not in the “college crap”. So again you’re saying investors don’t want Michael Jordan green colleague PMGs will want all AEW wrestling green PMGs?

Wrong again....Do you have anything better to do than troll these forums and act like a complete douchebag?.....It's no wonder everyone on these boards hates your guts because all you do is stir up BS with your negativity and garbage

I'm done with you.....Goodbye chump!

I'm not saying they will be selling for that, my point is that even at that price point, you'll be taking a bath. It feels like AEW is losing a bit of popularity and are beginning to go the WCW route with taking the WWE cast-offs.

I think comparing this product to the Champions product isn't a good comp in that, LeBron and Jordan will still have crowds of people trying to collect them. Do the top stars of AEW have that kind of pull combined with people willing to pay those kinds of prices?

No one ever compared this product to the Champions or the Spider-man product

I compared it to Prizm WWE and yes i'd take this product over WWE prizm

Again let me know when it's $150....I'll be waiting....And continue to brag about being right about everything

I gave you multiple chances to clarify your opinion/change your opinion. So what else am I supposed to guess your opinion is besides what you said multiple times? You said you tell investors to buy PMG greens as an investment but no college crap ones. That means no one. Including Michael Jordan green PMG collegiate cards. You responded to my question asking about if investors/rich people should want AEW wrestling Green PMGs even if they don't want Michael Jordan collegiate cards as, "green PMGs absolutely". Then you proceed to call me a troll, douchebag, and a chump. Nice. How anyone could read the comments on this subject and not have that opinion of you Im not sure. But there are plenty of stupid people in this world.
