First Buzz: 2022 Panini Prizm baseball cards

Why do they even bother putting a "Blowout Buzz" thread about this. The company is trash, the same boring design, same crappy unlicensed airbrushed garbage, same garbage crooked sticker autos, same miscut/OC/Print lines.

Just a boring money grab from a floundering company who rested too much on their laurels the last 5 years.

Screwed 3 times in a few hours today. Even though my checkout page loaded 3-4 seconds after it turned 1:40 my price was still the previous drop. It was gone about 12-15 seconds after hitting $180ish

I don’t collect any non-licensed MLB Products, including this one.
I am likely in a small or large group of like minded Collectors?

Per the checklist 270 base + 50 inserts have 3 different FOTL Shimmers each /7 (same as in the past), and you get 4 of those per box which works out to 1680 boxes. Up slightly from last year's 1522 boxes.

One of the more limited FOTL with, relative to Hobby, one of the best bonuses of any FOTL at 4x base /7 plus auto /7 or /3. And Julio although unlicensed is at least on both base and auto checklists, so (at least in theory) should have all the parallels including FOTL.

I looked at it using shimmers as well, but then I also looked at the number of shimmer autos from the spreadsheet on cardboard connection, which gave me 1797. I took the higher number, but perhaps lower number is the best way.

Sadly there is no Julio FOTL auto (only Rookie Autographs have FOTL, Debut do not) at least according to the checklist.

The only people buying this are noobs that are buying last minute birthday presents for their grandkids or nephew or some slap that got stuck with one to sweeten the deal on a trade for that magenta sparkle bedazzled Tatis image variation.

Only a masochist would buy these for clecter reasons.

Nothing to do with this specific release, and I buy only a small number of singles of any panini product and only begrudgingly, but does anyone else here find it beyond bizarre the way the sellers of these products package the cards? I'm talking tape-wrapped-around-tissue-paper-sandwiched-between-pieces-of-cardboard-in-a-ziplock-back-mummified-in-painters-tape-weird and it's like nearly all the panini cards I buy (again, small sample size but the correlation between bizarrely-and-wastefully-over-packaged and being a panini product is too great to ignore).

I thought this only happened to me. For the past 2 years, my new hobby has been finding safe ways to extract the items that I receive for my old hobby through the mail.

So far just one listing on ebay ($389) and within a few hours DA had about 7 cases worth on their site at $265/box. Not even trying to hide it.

I build Shane McClanahan rainbows from Prizm, Optic, Select, and Mosaic. I don't take them too seriously but I do enjoy the chase and they are fun to grab in between the bigger Topps releases for me. I was going to grab some FOTL this year and forgot. Last year's Prizm FOTL were actually pretty good because most boxes also had a Giraffe parallel in them.

Already 3 Julio auto redemptions and multiple Julio FOTL parallels /7 on ebay. Hopefully FOTL is loaded since Hobby is going to be super cheap.
