One thing and I don't know if we have anyone from Crypto still here but it really feels like after the LOTR and DC Crisis set are done that Crypto is done with cards. Which is a shame as I love their sets.
I hope this is not the case, though they have really slowed down with their releases, as well as concentrating on the CZX line more so than their regular sets. What will happen to Outlander? So if they stop all trading card lines, can they "sell" their property licenses or will they just become null and void?

I hope not. UD is, mostly, sticker garbage. I don't care how nice the card itself is. Slap a plastic sticker on there and it looks like trash, especially when you call it "high end".

I'd have to guess, only based upon information available to everyone, that they are not done. It took them forever to fill the Product Manager spot (for cards) and I have no idea who it is. The website now has an open posting for Product Manager Assistant (trading cards), so I can't imagine they'd be filling those jobs if they didn't plan on producing trading cards.

Not a slight in any way, but it's been painfully apparent how much George was doing for them, with the trading cards side of their business. Definitely missed.

This set is on the cover of the new Non-Sport Update. No autograph or sketch preview but there is a Stephen Amell relic and a dual relic of him with David Ramsey shown in the article. There is also a CZX Middle-Earth promo card included in the issue.

I hope not either just apart from the two CZX sets there hasn't been an inkling of anything while their figures and games have been getting so much promotion. George really was the heart and soul of their trading card area. Maybe they aren't done and they just don't have anyone to promote the card side the way they should.

Outlander is off the table.

Sony decided they were not doing trading cards. Don't know if it was a license renewal or a revocation. But the Outlander cards had always been stellar and good sellers. So their loss is a blow to CZE.

So does this mean that they are done with Outlander cards?

I just got the Cryptozoic September 2021 Fans First Newsletter.

I copied below for those who do not get it.

NOTE- Not one mention of trading cards- just the same old banner on the bottom of the e-mail for "Crisis on Infinite Earths".

Our Steven Rhodes Games are almost here! Kickstarter backers all over the world are getting immersed in the hilariously dark retro worlds of the renowned artist. If you missed out, the retail versions are coming to stores everywhere on September 28. You can also PREODER Let's Dig for Treasure, Let's Summon Demons, and Don't Talk to Strangers (or ALL THREE) now on the Cryptozoic Shop.

Last call: September 18 is the final day we will take late pledges for the Kickstarter for Epic Spell Wars™ of the Battle Wizards: ANNIHILAGEDDON 2 — XTREME NACHO LEGENDS. After that, you won't be able to get the Kickstarter Exclusive Gang Bangers Expansion, plus all sorts of other exclusive cards and goodies.

We are getting ready for a big end of the year for our Collectibles... and you can PREORDER them all now! Get ready for Wave 2 of Cryptkins Unleashed and three DC statues: the long-awaited Batman Batarang Statue and Gotham City Grit editions of The Joker Calling Card Statue and Harley Quinn Puddin' Pop Statue.

Last but not least, we're happy to announce DC Deck-Building Game: Crossover Collection 1, which brings together three classic Crossover Packs in one amazing package.

Thanks for being fans!

With as big as trading cards have been in 18+ months, CZE really missed a business opportunity.

Hopefully Topps steps in to fill the void (which is not ideal but... better than nothing)

Good lord, has it been so bad they had to post it on their social media? I remember a few artists posting about it in the past, so why not post it here, too, in case any of the artists are still wondering what's going on or what to do...

Worse than the 15th, it's actually the 5th.

I find it hard to believe they can get it out in time, yet we don't have a single signer announced yet. I know the policy is not until they are in hand, but they should be in hand if you're releasing in 4 weeks with two holidays in there.

What's also concerning is nobody seems to have any pre-orders up.

Oh look, an auto list!

https://cryptozoic.com/products/czx-...f7b305bd&_ss=r

Amell, Gustin and Benoist is nice, and happy to see Tom Welling. It does say more, I still would love to see Kevin Conroy.

Also, unless they say so, you are not guaranteed to get any top signers in a case.

For $400 a box and you get Jesse Rath auto and a mid level sketch....might as well have thrown that money in the garbage. I love they got some solid signers, first time signers even but at $400, 1 auto/1 sketch, 2 years after the events of Crisis, The shady ass distributors can choke on that cardboard.

I have only seen place with a pre-sell. I would assume they are trying to ride the covid wave on that price. I am surprised none of the big 3 have any pre-sells yet.

I'm glad they got majority of the top signers on that list, but I'll most likely not be buying a box at that price and will just buy the singles I want
