England have only conceded one goal from open play in the 1,331 minutes Kalvin Phillips has featured for England across 16 matches.

Hopefully we get full healthy teams in Poland vs England for 1st place later next week.

Sweden still playing good soccer.

They say Lewandowski never makes any runs. Carrying this mediocre team to every tourney.

Armenia in 1st place...hmm

Mods cleaning up this thread? Weird you can't mention the horrific racism and corrupt government in Hungary? Shame.

US getting outworked by El Salvador. Kinda wild, they have to put up riot shields on the corner kicks

Well...at least it's a point on the road. That pitch was in terrible shape.

One of the few nations in Europe that's not ruined.
The people want that government they don't want to live like the crap holes in Western Europe.

You like governments that are against their own people/nations...

Amazing a little country can hold its own and Germany/France/Italy/England are so pathetically weak.

I have friends from England and they are embarrassed about their country.

Very pleased with the England result yesterday. Even happier with the team in the face of, let's face it, what is not surprising behaviour from some of the contingent of Hungarians now.

Back to soccer.

Luxembourg has won 2 games. That has to be a record for them.

Denmark still playing well.

Group G - everyone still has a chance, be crazy to see Holland miss another World Cup.

Armenia ahead of Germany after 4 games...

Norway to not qualify for -150 seems like a bargain.

Two dropped points for Canada last night. They could play 2nd half 9 more times and would score 2 or 3 every time. Bad luck last night.

Have to win those home games before heading to the backwood countries

Some comments in this thread that are borderline racist/nationalist. Not a good look.

Konrad, Yedlin, and Adams were the best US players on the pitch last night IMO.

I'm referring more to the racism from the stands than the bottles etc

Ofcourse only last week there was uglier scenes in France.

But whether it can be worse elsewhere I still I take pride in the way England got on with their job and showed that the bottles and cups didn't phase them.

Playing at Azteca has got to be the worst, fans were banned from last night's game as a punishment for prior behavior.

Gibraltar have now scored 2 goals this campaign, which felt pretty significant all things considered.

Interesting. I didn't think Konrad showed much. Held the ball too long, didn't contribute at all on defense, and created 0 chances on offense.

To be honest, though, he didn't really have many options. The team looked sloppy and disjointed. Far too much individual play and ball chasing. They wanted to press, but press was completely disorganized. And, on offense, there was no effective possession.

As horrifying as it sounds, I thought Ream put in the best performance last night. Adams did his job but didn't create much. Gio showed glimpses but looked like a deer in the headlights at other times. Thought the rest of the team played poorly.

I know it was a tough environment, but that excuse is starting to ring hollow.

Tim Ream looking back in form this season. Upper Champ is his level, but he's a big confidence player. Better Fulham do, the better for USA. Same for Robinson.

So Spurs and Villa agreed to release their 4 Argentinian players to play against Brazil, against PL policy. They may have landed themselves in a little trouble in Brazil, anyone entering Brazil who has been in the UK within the last 14 days has to do a 14 day quarantine. Supposedly the 4 made a false declaration when entering Brazil stating they had not been here in that period and they are now being investigated by the Brazilian authorities. A likely outcome is that they will have to do a 14 day quarantine in Brazil (missing the match) and then a 10 day quarantine on return to the UK, which will leave their clubs furious.

The untalked about story right now is Armenia leading their group. Now they’ve got Germany today so odds are Germany will win (although Germany has not looked great.

Even with a loss, they’ll still firmly be in second place and already have beaten Romania and Iceland

To have a pot 5 team be leading the group after 4 games/still be in qualifying position after 5 games is pretty impressive

Man how far Iceland has fallen

Still don’t think Norway qualifies. Road games at Turkey and Netherlands still to come, they’d need to pull off a big upset/a couple ties and/or help from the bottom of the group for a big upset. Which is basically just asking Montenegro for help because Latvia and Gibraltar won’t help
