Illusions had a bunch of retail SKUs for 2019-20, so that wasn’t a hobby exclusive. You think they’ll scrap Hoops Premium Stock? I know they printed that to death for 2019-20 but I still liked the cards, so I hope they run that back.

As for others - I imagine they will release Opulence again, unless they’re thinking of scrapping that product. I can’t imagine they’d do that though, because Opulence has some nice exclusives like game-worn Finals jerseys and things like that. The two others likely to get the axe for 2020-21 are Black and Status, I don’t think anyone was too crazy about those for 2019-20.

On Illusions the hobby version was a hobby store exclusive, wasn't sold through distributor level. Forgot about the retail versions, but you are correct.

Yes I've heard Hoops Premium is scrapped but obviously never know til they say so. And Opulence that is another one you are right would assume they continue on. So at least 7 popular lines that we know of still yet to solicit. Maybe we're more in a December final release pattern this year after all. Looks like they are starting to catch up though and get stuff moving out on time, Spectra JUST solicited a week ago I think and it's already almost out so fingers crossed their production is back up to speed and they get these out the door.

Oh yeah you’re right, I forgot the Illusions hobby boxes were hobby store direct exclusives. I think I only opened one pack of that, haha. That would be a bummer if they didn’t run back Hoops Premium Stock again, because I’m sure that would further tank the prices on all the 2019-20 stuff. It would have been a better product if they just didn’t print so much and didn’t go so crazy with like 50 parallels that nobody was able to keep track of.

I think a cool idea for Opulence would be to throw that in Chronicles and just make them super tough to hit. They can get rid of Black Box or Vanguard and replace those serial numbered base cards with Opulence base, and then throw in ultra-rare Finals jersey cards as chasers. I doubt that would ever happen, but I know they tried that with soccer and put things like NT and other super high-end hits in Chronicles, so at least there’s some precedent, even if it was a different sport.

November?? What a joke, the 2021-22 season will be a month old by the time this comes out. I’m sure they don’t even care about trying to get back on schedule to match up with the NBA season anymore. I’m also pretty sure this will mean that Hoops Premium Stock was a one and done release, because they’ll never be able to squeeze it in the schedule that late.

Sounds very expensive for a bad product. The only base PSA 10 from 2019 selling for more than $50 is Zion at $54. A silver PSA 10 Zion or Ja are $500. How can anyone justify $500+ for this?

- Numbered cards (I think there are 3 per box)
- Stained Glass
- Other inserts

It sounds crazy but I remember last year the boxes were giving like 700+ on average. Inserts were selling like crazy.

Wow. I just don't see it. It's so late in the season most of the rookies are confirmed duds and the onslaught of retail which will offer Silvers/Mosaics at a cheaper price point is coming. That's throwing a lot of money at the hopes of a decent /11 FOTL parallel.

Looking at BO's prices we have:

Prizm - 1600
Select - 950
Optic - 725

My guess is Mosaic settles somewhere below Optic, at around 650. I fully expect this to be at least 700 on release based on current prices.

Ya, it's stupid. BO knows this stuff won't sell long (if at all) at $1000 but that's what they all do now. Hugely over-inflate presell prices and then drop them by large amounts right after release. But they hold the prices just long enough to help Panini get every dollar they can out of the FOTL release.

Hobby shouldn't be any more than $300-400 considering how much the market has slowed. I'm not touching this FOTL unless it gets really close to the bottom.

I'd rather open a box of Immaculate Collegiate with on-card auto's than a box of this stuff.

Stained Glass is a hobby exclusive insert, and Genesis is a retail exclusive parallel, so neither of those are really similar to Kabooms in Absolute, which are inserts in both hobby and retail. I don’t think Genesis was as SSP as a lot of people thought last year, so I’d guess there will be similar print runs this year.
