I work offshore on a dredge, lost a 480 volt traction motor that is slave/master coupled to a second 480 volt traction motor that is then coupled to a 210:1 ratio reduction gearbox. Lost the middle coupled motor and had to pull it out and replace it. Took about 19 hours to get it out and the new one wired up and aligned, what a PITA. Once we got it running the motor happened to be a different rpm motor and caused both motors and the gearbox to fail. I didn't leave work for 5 days. We normally work 84 hours a weeks. That week I had 139 hours on my check. Corporate wouldn't even approve the amount because of the amount of hours and safe work practices getting involved. They made up for it by breaking the checks into 3 checks with 105 hours each and 2 separate untaxed "expense checks" of over $750
each. That was a nice month after.

I was military so I have done 60 plus without sleep. You don’t get too tired when people keep trying to shoot you. We did almost 70 on a military operation once and we were so tired that I did not remember coming back to base, I think part of my soul was lost that day.

Little over 48 hours. Did an all nighter in Vegas that almost turned into two in a row. Woke up the first day around 6 am, pulled an all nighter and the following day crashed around 7 am. Zero narcotics were involved haha just long stints at the blackjack and electronic craps tables. Doesn’t hurt that the casinos pump fresh oxygen in

About 36 hours, give or take. I know the exact date too. December 31, 1999 - January 1, 2000

New Year's Eve Party at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Architectural undergrad... 64 straight hours during final critique week. Brutal! Building models and cutting with razor blades when I can barely see straight.

I’m hoping to get some sleep before I pass the 24-hour mark.

Laid down tonight and realized the insomnia was coming on strong. So now I’m at the gym. Why stay in bed, be miserable until 3 or 4 AM, get crappy sleep, and then try to be productive and workout when you can switch up the order? With any luck I’ll finish these lifts, still be asleep by 3 or 4, but get better sleep and already have “workout” crossed off my to-do list.

I think the longest I've gone is right around 36 hours.

Same here. I know I've gone at least 2-3 days straight without sleep during Desert Storm. Pretty sure I've gone over 50, but not sure if I've ever gone 60+. This is without counting any short 15 min breaks where I close my eyes and drift, although this is not really sleep by any stretch.

All I can say is that when you finally do sleep, you're not really sleeping either. It feels more like you're hallucinating than sleeping, and you feel wasted when you do wake up.

I've had more 2-3 day stretches than I can count when I was playing pool/poker.
I used to play poker in the casino and someone would come in, work their 8 hour shift while I was playing, go home, come back the next day for work and be like - "You're still playing?!?!?". Yep

From South Korea to Kansas I was up for about 34 hours straight, maybe more (tried to sleep on the way out there and couldn’t so didn’t even try on way back home) As soon as I got home I went straight to bed (jet lag and the worst headache I’ve ever had didn’t help) and I slept 22 straight hours. Normal Wednesday-Thursday nights before garage sales April-August (too excited to sleep) I don’t usually go to bed that night and come Thursday at 8 or 9 pm I crash and sleep until 3pm.

68 hours straight in Iraq. Hardest part was driving back from our mission using night vision. Talk about seeing #@#@#@#@. My eyes were a mess.

I regularly do 25 or 26 hours. usually a couple times a week. Longest was probably close to 72 Hours While in the Marine Corps.

When I work the 3 to 11 shift, I get up at 630 so I can see my son and get him ready for school, then I go do some running etc. leave for work about 130pm, get forced into a mandatory double, and get home about 8am, take a shower go to bed about 830 wake up at 1 and go back to work. I do that 2 to 3 times a week.
