Yes, but there’s another item people don’t generally talk about when spending money on graded cards: opportunity cost.
The cost of grading compounded with interest monthly for ten years probably exceeds the value of the majority of slabbed cards over that period.
Reinvesting that $ into cards and not plastic instead should yield higher returns if cards actually have value to begin with. If not, then both cardboard and plastic are not good “investments”, with plastic being the worst investment of the two. I guess this is why most plastic is bought to be flipped...
