Where would the autos fall for rankings?

I’m assuming finest is up there because of rarity.

LOL

"At Bat in blue jersey" is the third line for the update.

Bat down was pack pulled, doesnt have variations. Sapphire was online only and extremely limited. Update was widely available, pack pulled, has parrallels and still affordable.

If you consider the Sapphire a base card, then by all means, its #1
If you dont then ID go with the Bat Down as the #1

if the Sapphire was only sold online, then there's no way that the card would be considered his told rookie.

it's Bat Down, Bat Down...and Bat Down.

Transcendent RC is still incredibly undervalued IMO. Only 83 copies.

Personal list (2018 only)

Transcendent
Sapphire
Bat down
Heritage action
US 250
Factory set

Agreed. "Bat Down" is the only one that matters.

Ultimately it comes down to how much you are looking to spend. If money is not an issue sapphire all the way. For an auto high end go 2017 bowman or 2018 heritage red

Ok, US250 does have a third line. But it’s stupid. It’s the base card. Why PSA feels the need to clutter the label for the base when they could just use it for the variations is beyond me.

Bat Down is a variation whether people like it or not. Card 698 is Ryan Sherriff. The variation is Ronald Acuna.

Maybe better put is, US250 is his best base RC that doesn’t have a modified Topps code on the back that distinguishes it as separate from the base set. Bat Down ends in 249. The rest of the set ends in 359.

I'm not sure why you're getting any pushback on this.

Most desirable base "rookie" card: Sapphire
Most desirable flagship "rookie" card: Bat Down
Most desirable rookie card: US250, if only by definition

I saw that card on Ebay last night and I saw that it was #44 and then I knew that I had seen it on here. I am a bidder, but won't spend enough to win it. Got a PSA 10 in the mail today. Beautiful card. GLWS.

Baseball is confusing: That kind of money for a young player vs proven HOFers.

Most definitely. I've picked up a BGS 9.5 (all 9.5 subgrades) and a PSA 9 this month. It's my favorite 2018 of him

Seriously asking: why do you consider action a parallel but not bat down?
