Topps will ruin this ridiculous run up in popularity by doing dumb money grabs like this. This is the early 90s all over in a new way.

Will it be in a year, five years, or ten, idk, but everyone knows Topps is incompetent and the only certainty is they wouldn't know how to ensure demand remains consistent, ever. They should just be happy they were gifted a monopoly in baseball. The same way Panini should be thankful elsewhere. Clowns given gifts, by other clowns. And now, a whole circus.

Should be interesting to see how he/they do it. By that I mean -- do they bling out an entire area of the card, or just one spot? Are they are shiny refractor types, where to be effective they'd really have to do some cool stuff with printing white next to the raw substrate to make it pop? Or do they do something really cheap like just a bling-y substrate like the one they used for 2015 TCU.

I forget that these exist 99% of the time. The other 1% of the time, I truly just smile at the absurdity of people paying that much money to end up with a 2nd year Keibert Ruiz PSA 9 green x-fractor. Truly the worst baseball card related idea of this current era and goes to show that not EVERY gimmicky idea involving the Bowman brand will work. When these get down to $5/box, I may have to buy 1 or 2 just to keep around the house.
