Funny coincidence is that his dad’s name is Tony.

It wasn't like they were getting clobbered. Only the Ravens crushed them. I would say the Ravens should be favored to win it all.
Week 4 Bills, week 11 Eagles, week 12 Cowboys and week 16 Bills also could've gone either way. That puts them at 8-8.

Is it crazy to think this year may be the last for Brady? this was all planned out and perhaps only Kraft/Brady/belichick knows about it?

First time he is playing without a contract beyond his current year.

false. New England Dominated dallas in that game, they had no chance of scoring whatsoever. cliché to say they dominated in a 4 point win, but it really wasn't as close as the scoreboard indicated.

and they did dominate the bills from start to finish, defense was swarming. none of that matters though as they backed into the playoffs on an embarrassing loss to the dolphins

To me, the fact that he insisted on being a free agent supports the idea that he is going to play next year.

If he was thinking this was his final year, he really wouldn't care what his contract status was. He would just walk away at the end of the season because it wouldn't matter if the Patriots retained his rights. The fact that he insisted his current contract be structured in such a way as to make him a free agent this offseason tells me he still wants to play.

Of course, it certainly begs the question of whether or not he still wants to play for the Patriots... I have faith things will work out but I guess we'll see. Working most in favor of Brady returning is the fact that I don't think the Patriots have a viable replacement ready. Working most against Brady returning is Belichick's organizational philosophy of getting rid of players a year or two too early instead of a year or two too late.

Sold my Contenders Cracked Ice Stidham /23 for $1800. I have zero faith in him. I'll take the guarenteed $1800 now and risk losing a potential $1200 rather then risk ending up with a $10 card.

Truth is no one really knows. Signing Kessler the game after Stidham threw an INT scared me, but from what I understand they brought Kessler in to run the scout team. No one knows what's going on in New England. Some say if Bill had his way Jimmy would be QBing the Pats through the playoffs right now.
I was having a conversation with a client today and he said the same thing concerning Jimmy. I don't follow football quite that closely but that surprised me.

Yeah, that was the word. And it does make sense, too. Brady was 39 during Jimmy's last year in New England.

Truth about Jimmy is that in his two previous opportunities before this season to "Lead" his team, Pats and SF, Gar's wasn't able to stay healthy for even 2 and a half games before breaking down.

Would love to know how the Vikings, Chiefs, Bears, etc would have transformed with a Brady at quarterback if the Pats would have kept Jimmy? Especially Minnesota.

I like Jimmy. I really do. But let us not go overboard. If Brady was QB of the 49ers and Jimmy was QB of the Patriots this season, then the 49ers would still be getting ready for the NFCCG and the Patriots would still be getting ready for tee time.

i wouldn't go so far as to say that, because Jimmy is pretty mobile compared to Brady. So a defense doesn't have that threat from the QB in Brady like they do in other QBs like Russell Wilson for example.

if the Patriots had a more mobile QB, which Stidham appears to be, then who knows what would/can happen.

Mariota, Alex Smith, and maybe Dalton could be short term answer if they don't believe it's Stidham i guess.

but i'm really starting to lean towards the Patriots running with Stidham and grooming him in the same way the Spurs groomed Kawhi to take over for Duncan as the face of the franchise.

Jimmy Garoppolo had something like 65 yards rushing this year. While that may be a shade more than Brady, he doesn't even remotely qualify as a "mobile" QB and he isn't going to beat you with his legs.

I stand by my statement: If Brady was on SF and Garoppolo was on NE, SF would still be preparing for the NFCCG and NE would still be preparing for tee time.

okay yeah i get what you're saying. i don't think NE would have beat Baltimore with that offense.
