Yes, hence why I said “you can say I’m biased”. Lol I was admitting it. And I wouldn’t include the “power shoulder” as a true injury since he never missed any time for it.

You’re right about the 2016 one though, I totally forgot about it because the season was already over for the Yankees at that point in 2016 and like you said it was the last couple weeks of the season. True.

Sadly I am stuck with the remains I have. I did extremely well so no big deal since all but one card is low end. Big bodies have bigger health problems, his hobby value isn't going to get anywhere close to his rookie season through the ASG.

You are right, injuries don't usually lead to surgery.

Ive got quite a lot of Judge as well. But, I like him as a player and am collecting him, not investing. Still have a lot of money into his cards but since I bought them to collect, doesn't really matter. He got me back into card collecting.

I have a fairly large Judge collection and have no concern. He is my favorite player by a mile on my favorite team. Owning a few grand in Judge cards isn’t a big deal and I still get joy out of seeing them in My wall display every day. It’s a collection, not my retirement plan. In fact, I’ll still take that 2017 Topps Chrome Super if anyone has a lead on it.

Injuries happen. This is sad and I hope he recovers as soon as possible. Baseball isn’t as fun without him.

It's definitely sell sell sell right now.

But don't sell until I sell my 17 heritage auto first.

He’s 27 this week

Has 300 hits and 88 hrs

Odds of him ending up with anything close to hof numbers is slim

On the other side he is so popular and a yankee

If healthy he could win mvp or hit 50 hrs any of next 5 years

Imo

I would not touch these 1000-5000 dollar cards of his

If you can still get these numbers I would sell

This makes it more possible for a guy like Gleyber Torres to be the face of the franchise.

Sell Judge buy Gleyber!!!

I could have said the exact same thing. I’ve had a ton of fun since getting back in because of Judge. I’m holding off on an “injury prone” tag for now, as the wrist was a fluke and could have happened to anyone.

I've been tracking a bunch of his earlier cards on COMC and it seems like a pretty nice time to BUY now that many have gone down 30-50%, on average.

He'll be back and he could still get to 30+ homers, even with the injury outage.

This is solid advice. And for things way beyond baseball cards. Stocks, real estate, commodities and the likes. That last sentence is almost poetic in a way.

Collect him because you like him but man, I learned when I was young from my LCS at the time to never go in heavy on older rookies. He was so expensive in 2017, it is near impossible to not lose money at that peak. No matter how great a player is, none can make up for lost years.

Wow, somebody with brains up in here! Anybody who sells Judge now will regret it for sure and it's not even a question that should enter your mind

I just picked up a Judge RC (the only one I now have) this past weekend. It's a Bowman PLatinum RC logo rookie. It only sells for a couple of bucks. But at least I have one in case he goes up in the future. Might pick up a few more. I think he's a good investment to go back up at some point since he's a HR hitter in New York.

Unless you are in really really cheap (pre-2017), why on earth would you sell?

Buy low, sell high. This is either a buying time or hold.

Why on earth would you sell on news of an injury... Unless you like losing money. It's a buyers market, not a sellers market.
