It's definitely a fun set that I have gotten a kick out of the last few days. It probably would have been more popular had it been planned/released closer to the original hobby release 1.5 years ago. I think a lot of those collectors have moved on, and a lot of the hits would be duplicates for those that were collecting at release.

For me, I missed the set at release (I think I picked up like one sketch maybe?), so it is all pretty much new to me.

Sounds like this is way better to buy a physical box of. I know some people dot like stacks and stacks of base cards, but if you can't even get a base set from a box that really sucks. If you buy a box you should be able to just request a full base be sent to you.

I don't collect anything they've released but this format scares me. It'd be too hard to stop, and you aren't really guaranteed anything.

The most fun aspect of epacks is the trading. When a new set hits, it's fun to complete trades with people who are actively collecting different niches of the set. Right now I am actively trading for minis and a few base to red. I don't think I will attempt to red the entire base set or anything, but I'm still having fun.

The Spidey set (if/when it hits) will do really well on ePack.

Yeah... you only get 80 base in a box, and never duplicates of any of the ones you do get within that one box. I am trading 5 base per mini if you want to try to fill out your collection that way. I have the same user name there.

I used to log in to the Walking Dead trader app every day for me free coins, but eventually stopped. This seems like about the same thing to me. I might bite on some Spider-Man if the price makes sense, but otherwise the idea of virtual cards doesn't really hold my interest.

They're not virtual, or at least not all of them. Generally only base cards are virtual, and you combine (usually 10, 20 for dinos) of them for the physical card. You can have the physical cards mailed to you at any time.

It digitizes the pack opening and trading, but the end its still real cards.
