I'm going to Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and it sounds like they are in some way affiliated with the University of Washington. It's about a 5 hour drive for me to get there but it sounds like, from what I have read that they are one of the best in the country and definitely the best in the state.

Right now I am doing my best to stay positive but it is hard. I'm 38 and have a 6 and 8 that I pray I will be able to watch grow up. I wouldn't wish this on anybody and thank you all for the prayers and good thoughts. Please know it means a lot.

I read this and had that feeling that I've had before of how incredibly fragile our existence is. I wish you all the best and hope you make every memory possible with those kiddos.

I was taught to tell those close to you that you loved them as often as possible, and it's something my wife and I practice with our kids every day.

So sorry to hear this. Prayers to you and your family during this time! If they give you choices around the country, MD Anderson in Houston is great. They were unbelievable to my aunt during her battle.

Seattle Cancer Alliance is very progressive. Residency class above me took a trip up there in December as a professional development trip. Apparently one of the institutions was the first to perform a bone marrow transplant.
