Such a cool contest! I hit 13 and 16 in a minute in a 3 point contest at a tourney in high school (I choked in the final and only hit 2 in a minute lol) but they was 18 years ago lol. Curious what I could hit today. Without someone rebounding I'd say maybe 2 as I'd be winded from chasing my own boards lol. I'll seriously have to look into so gym time!!

hey don't disrespect the old man midrange game. I recently finished my PhD but would play pickup ball in the rec gym with 19 and 20 year olds 2-3x a week (I'm 32). Everybody either fires from 23 feet or has to get to the rim. Forget that. I hit so many 15' jumpers it was ridiculous. Why would I go into the paint where two 6'4" 19 year olds can block the ever-loving crap out of me? lol

I guess one good thing about being a high school teacher is I can get access to our gym! I'll try to make it in there hopefully today or tomorrow.

If it matters, I'm 6'0" and weight about 155. I play the post majority of the time and don't do the jumpers unless mid range. Favorite move - drop step and up and unders.
Here it goes anyways...
6'0 155lbs and you play post? Is it a 6feet and under league?

Nope.
I'm also one of the best players in the league. I can guard the SG-C spot, but I don't have the lateral quickness.
The other centers are 6 3, 6,2 and 5,11 respectively. Size wise is 160, 250 and 260. Getting around the big dudes is rough, but stop the entry pass = turnover.

Man, I just realized that 12/24 is the deadline... that's gonna be tough. I think I'm playing on Wednesday.... I'm gonna have to have one of the guys hold my phone while I shoot in between games.... that's going to be awkward. haha

PS - I still don't think people realize how cool this contest is. There should be 100 entries. Hopefully people won't be lazy or not have enough time with the holidays.

yeah I can either get my bro or my gf to rebound for me, can't get both and I have to work around the youth league practices which are full in-swing at my gym right now, wish there was more time but I'll get it done

My 6'10" a** hasn't touched a ball in years, but I am very much looking forward to these videos.

Love the contest, but I'm not sure I like the 'one entry per person' rule. I don't think it should be unlimited, but it should be a handful or something. I just did mine, but I don't want to submit it, since if it gets beaten, I can't answer.

I think it would be more fun if we could keep trying to one-up the people that beat us.

Maybe that would be a good idea for the second one.

I count 1, looks like foot is on the line almost every shot at the top of the key.

Really cool contest, I may brave the cold and test my skills!

I play pick up randomly in a smaller sized court. The half court line is about 1.5 feet outside of a regulation hs/college line. Would that work? The usual gym i play at is closed for the holidays and my league just ended.

Awesome idea! My piece of advice is to avoid drinking 6 beers before you shoot the 3's! I entered the 3-point shootout at the Draftkings World Fantasy Basketball championship in San Diego last March. We had been drinking most of the evening and by the time it was my turn, I was buzzed up pretty good! With a big crowd watching, I think I made 2! It was ugly.

Best of luck boys! (And girls!)

Good

Idk I kinda like that the game forces you to go all out and then submit, if you're worried about someone one-upping you just don't submit until saturday

I was going to message the OP about it.
I was the first one and was going to wait, but figured I'd encourage people to do it first. Now I know I won't finish 1st
