As many said, MJ for the basket.

Larry if i need a three.

Although MJ may get you the and 1 or steal an inbounds and hit you another bucket

This is a very contrarian, but very, very good response. It's so hard to match up Dirk. Perhaps harder than MJ. I'm curious to see what Horry's numbers on clutch 3s is.

Some will say Horry but some of those plays weren't even drawn up for him. He was just in the right place at the right time. A career .341% 3 point shooter is not the guy i want taking the shot with the title on the line.

Down 2: Jordan
Down 3: Ray Allen, Reggie or Curry.

First instinct

Down 2: MJ
Down 3: Reggie or Larry Legend (I'd lean a bit more towards Reggie, if pressed).

For a slightly different response...

Down 2: Hakeem Olajuwon
Down 3: John Stockton

For a two or a three...

1b. Larry Bird

Nice reference, I might take Michael Ray Richardson for the 8 ball. Or perhaps Marvin Barnes but good choice on Tarpley.
