Well, that was a plot twist I didn't see coming.

HAS to be Punk/AJ Lee vs Rollins/Becky headlining the ESPN Wrestlepalooza?

Punk as leaving the ring takes a sign saying Punk bring back AJ Lee.

Punk made a point to borrow a fan's sign saying "Bring back AJ Lee".

Wrestlepalooza ESPN

my guesses are

Punk/AJ Lee vs Rollins/Becky

Cena vs Brock Lesnar, unless thats being saved for his last match or for Survivor Series

i have an idea, Cena vs AJ Styles vs...Dom Mysterio for IC title triple threat

Randy Orton vs Drew McIntyre

Triple H on Crown Jewel - "This time it's Perth-onal".

I chuckled.

I just don't understand what the appeal is..

Yes she was insanely popular, and is married to Punk; but she's 38 and hasn't wrestled in 10 years..

At least Trish Stratus stayed active and wrestling sporadically after her "retirement"

Why does it matter that she's 38? That puts her in the same age range as Cody Rhodes/Jey Uso/Seth Rollins etc.

I think Nikki Bella has it right, definitely age discrimination with female wrestlers compared to the men.

Issue is she has not been in a ring 10 years and pushing 40 it's harder to get back into ring shape in a short amount of time. Does not matter if you are male or female.

If she does come back, who knows how long she's been training? It could be a long time, it could be a couple weeks. I just think citing her age is dumb. Edge came back after 6-7 years and was much older and looked great almost immediately.

Besides, if she did come back how long would she actually be in the ring for the match? I'd be quite confident that Rollins/Punk would carry that match.

Yeah..can't believe I'm actually siding with Pak on something lol

It wasn't she's 38, she's too old....but the WHOLE sentence...she's 38 AND hasn't wrestled in 10 years

Not saying she isn't in shape, or can't still go or whatever...

Just don't understand what the appeal is

My example..Trish..retired..but wrestled a match or 2 every year or few years

Do I have some intense desire personally to see her return? No. Would I enjoy it? Sure! Do I get why a bunch of men want to see her return? Also sure, because they are simps. Trish on her initial return (before it happened like 6 other times) was very popular too.

John Cena 99 PPV/PLE wins has 3 PLE's dates left so should break 100 but Undertaker 107 career PPV wins is safe.

Thought Reigns/Reed was the best match on the card hands down. Everything else was forgettable.

Becky coming out masked up IMO didn't really shock anyone. You could clearly tell by the smaller body frame it was a woman. Don't care for the whole Seth/Becky vs. Punk/AJ match. I get everyone want AJ Lee but 10 yr lay offs rarely work out in the end. She'll get a huge pop whatever but the match itself I think is gonna be a botch fest with the men having to pick up the slack.

I mean her husband took off what 7 years of wrestling? And then came back in his 40s and in worse shape and he seems to be doing just fine now.

I don't really have any desire to see AJ Lee back, thought she was always a bit overrated, but I know a lot would be happy to see her so the pop would be huge. I thought she had said she had a back or neck issue years ago? I could be wrong though. Sadly they'll be continuing to shove Becky down our throats even though her act is stale, her interviews are exactly the same and her in ring has gotten worse. Would be nice if she elevated some younger talents but Becky Hogan can't do that brother! Let's just hope they don't give her the women's title too and recycle the awful Becky 2 belts crap.

I think it's a lot of people just being homers wanting to see AJ Lee because of Punk being her husband. She was a lesser version of what Roxanne Perez is today.

Only thing I can see is the WWE doing what they did years back with Miz & Maryse vs Cena & Bella just a couples match to get a cheap pop from the crowd with Punk & AJ going over.

People have been clamoring for her before Punk ever came back, just because you personally don't like her doesn't make someone a 'homer' (not even sure what that means in Wrestling anyway).

And that's what they would be doing. A mixed tag match, who is it hurting? You just hate anything that is fun.

LOL I don't like Lee? I don't care about her either way. To me it's a match to fill a spot on a card. It's a throw away match. Was never a fan of when they do these couple matches no matter who it's between.

Can you say that you acknowledge it would be a big deal for her to come back? Because as I said earlier, I don't have any intense desire to see her come back. She wasn't my favorite or close to it when she was active but I acknowledge she was extremely popular and a LOT of people would enjoy her coming back.

If you can't say things like that (which you have proven time and time you can't) there's no reason to not think you don't like her. And again, you may not like mixed tag matches, a lot of people do. It wouldn't be a throwaway match, it'd be a huge deal. 4 big time stars with one not having Wrestled in 10 years.

I don't like Seth Rollins, I can acknowledge he's a huge star even though I don't really get it. Says a lot about you that you can never do simple things like that.
