When this is all over, no matter the totality of the virus and how mild/severe it is for our country and the world as a whole; I hope we take a hard look at social media and what it has created. The influence it has for the value it provides feels to me, imbalanced.

There was a time, not too long ago that when you wanted to know what was going on in the world, you watched the 5:00 news or read the newspaper. And while the way in which that news was delivered was likely biased, it wasn't nearly as biased as the media that delivered it today. Why? What changed?

This morning, I read a lovely article on Yahoo! homepage that said the worst case scenario of the coronavirus is 90 million dead. Pretty sure I never read such an article in my local newspaper, or on the news, or even online in 2010 about H1N1. Yet these kinds of reports are published by all kinds of people in all kinds of countries ... and they're just awesome to read, think about, and talk with your family about. As I posted earlier in the CV thread, I have a brother-in-law, Ph.D who is 100% convinced this virus is gonna wipe us out. He's left the US for good according to him, and he wants us to buy guns and lock down our house for the inevitable riots that will ensue.

Why? His PhD is in tech; but he's online in forums talking to people posting data that he believes signifies the apocalypse of sorts. I just spent an hour telling his mother to calm down, he'll be OK, everything will be OK because she's freaking out about his freak out.

We have lost our minds. Our ability to be rational and to judge a situation using evidence, logic and reason to make an informed decision. First we were gonna get into a Nuclear war with Russia, then North Korea, then Net Neutrality was supposed to kill us, then Iran's retribution for Solemani, and now coronavirus. Be thankful; according to some, we should have been dead 4 times already, so we're all rollin' with house money anyway.

Surely Hillary will have succumbed by then to the imminently fatal illness these very same "Biden has dementia"-types assured us Clinton had in 2016 when she stumbled getting into an SUV while battling a cold. In summer 2021, it will have been about 5 years since they deemed her a goner.

Also, talking about Biden as if his condition isn't a thing is insane. I was watching a video of him talking back in September, and he looked a hell of a lot better only 6 months ago than he has recently.

So that means every time I've referred to Trump as a "constant liar" or some-such, and received no pushback, everyone here was in agreement?

In that case, I'm sure we can agree that deliberate lies are far worse than usually apologized for minor slips of the tongue, and to vote accordingly.

I will say RE:Biden that it will be very interesting to see the Arizona debate. Biden has benefited (I think) to sharing the stage with 6-12 other delegates so he only has to answer one out of every dozen or so questions.

Now that it's just two, the amount of talking time for Joe is up substantially. Not sure how he'll do.

Yup should be interesting to see. But he should have all questions in hand already so he can study and prep.

Where is Rudy? Anyone know if the evidence that Trump's personal attorney claims to have has been put out yet? I haven't seen any factual evidence about Hunter Biden.

Also, where has Trump been? I haven't seen him and his leaky diaper since his CDC visit the other day. Is he okay or is he golfing again?
