The non-BC auto market has definitely cooled down from the peak in the leadup to the all star game. Non-rookie autos especially but there were also a couple Finest rookies auto that finished between 1200-1500 recently and those were getting up to $2000

A cool down was inevitable. Nothing goes up forever. You just have to be prepared for the next spike when he gets on a tear again and he will.

Some real steals yesterday for S2 parallels. Was bidding on both and then forgot about them . Series 2 Black 9.5 with 9 corners for $1750 and a PSA 10 Foilboard for $975!!!

The Foilboard was Saturday. I must have over looked it when I did my search or I would have bid on it. Only thing interesting I found was the guy doing black and white pictures of cards.

I show Foilboard at $1482. Maybe there were 2 copies for sale and I’m missing it from my search? Either way, still seems low to me. Also, do we think the National played into people not bidding - low on funds, traveling/not being available to bid, etc?

Thank you sir! Way too low for that - good pick up for the winner. Foilboard always get overlooked due to exclusivity of retail/complete set packaging. They’re gorgeous cards.

Actually there was almost no one saying that for the last month with the exception of the crazy PSA 10 base prices. Most said his stuff would just keep going up. Personally, I said a month ago I wondered if we were near peak season pricing because of all the expectations baked in and seemingly being at peak hype. I agree the prices on the cards I collect (low end, mid end non graded) are lower than their peak from the all-star game. But most cards seem to have a higher floor too. I am still buying when I find the right deals. I don't think we have hit an in season peak. Seems like Ohtani is one amazing game (no hitter, 3 HR game etc) from prices taking off to new heights.

I really enjoyed this one so I graded it. Bought it raw for $40 when S1 first released. Probably terrible ROI decision to grade, but I like it.

I looked at it like this. I got some stuff off to SGC quick and they turned it around in 2 weeks. I invested $415 in the order of 10 cards. Sold the lot for $1450 and kept the Topps Chrome RC SGC 10. I think I did well, so no complaints. If he spike again, he will, I am preparing another chrome HMT1 order and others for SGC. I will be ready.

Would not surprise me to see Adell and Chris Rodriguez produce this time around. They just need a real bullpen.

Their starters have the 4th best ERA in the league post ASB a day or 2 ago. But the bats have gone silent with everyone injured. And the BP aside from Raisel is iffy.

Seems it be trying to pull everything since the ASB. I wish he would go more alley-to-alley with his power. Those two GIDP yesterday were killers.

No need to diminish it, but given that we are in a new era of baseball breaking 61 outside of the steroid era would be something I think that is celebrated given the absence of PEDs and steroids.

If Ohtani gets close, I think there will be enough traction that he sees another hobby boost to his cards.
