I think while Hogan really crossed over in pop culture for the 80s/90s and is the biggest Wrestling star of all-time, Flair still crosses over for pop culture today and is more universally loved even though he has many faults as did Hogan.

I know for myself personally I'm a much bigger Flair fan Wrestling wise vs Hogan who I wasn't a very big fan of, so I would be more saddened the day Flair passes.

I was just texting a friend who doesn't watch Wrestling and he said he was surprised just how big a deal Hogan's passing is, and I told him how the only person who will top today will be Vince McMahon.

^^^ IDK, you'd be surprised at how many people know about McMahon's poor life choices and discretions who aren't wrestling fans...

A lot of people didn't know about everything that Hogan/Bollea did or was guilty of and just remember the '80s character...

Not sure McMahon will be a big deal, he doesn't even own the company anymore, he's just a rich old man...

I think were gonna see the same split reaction when Flair goes, sooner rather than later at this rate...

McMahon will get more hate then Hogan when he passes for his life choices but still Vince will and should be called the father of modern wresting as without him does wrestling ever become main stream or stick to a smaller regional sport were there are no major superstars?

Ehhh...only bad things for Ric though is maybe cheating/adultery, being married so many times and being a drunk...

I don't really think he's done anything as "polarizing" as Hogan outside of wrestling

I’m on the west coast, so tell me, was the crowd noise piped in during the moment of silence?

To me sounded legit when they chanted Hogan. But the IWC crowd will say on it's pipped in people hate Hogan.

Ok Tribute but not anywhere near what I think people thought it would be. We got the opening bit then a couple flashback moments and that was it. No taped interviews like they did with Eddie and Benoit though. Feels like WWE knew they had to do something but wanted to quickly get past it and move on.

Maybe did not have time to do taped interviews as Smackdown was already pre-planned with matches. Could come out with interviews on social media later. If they did not not tape any interviews seems a waster of time and money to fly a bunch of the guys out there. I see Hacksaw Jim Duggan posted he was brought in by WWE also as he was in crowd.

Also, there is apparently a Netflix documentary already in the works, so possibly will be more there

Saw a post on social media that WWE will be donating proceeds from Hulk Hogan Legacy Collection appeal sold at the WWE Shop to his family.

Chelsea Green reportedly has shut down all of her social media due to receiving death threats from people who are upset she didn't speak out more about Hogan being a so called racist while doing media Appearence yesterday.

Apparently she tried to explain that basically WWE gave talent a strict narrative to stick with which was to praise and thank him for his contributions to Wrestling and stay away from his personal life as much as possible but the threats kept coming.

Quote:
Tonight, following SmackDown, Green took to social media to announce that due to the name-calling and death threats she has recently received, she is stepping away from social media, tweeting out:

“I’ve tried to keep my page positive and comedic, but today, a lot changed… and it hit harder than I expected. The name calling, the death threats, the faceless accounts. Social media was supposed to be a fun place and it hasn’t been for a while. It’s been overwhelming and I need to step away. Green has come under fire over the past 48 hours for being as open and honest as she could be regarding the passing of Hulk Hogan.

When you cater to a mob like that, which she’s done many times, she has to be prepared for when they turn on her, which they did. This is what happens when you cater to a group that expects you to say and act perfectly.

D’Von:

Quote:
“There were two separate occasions where Hogan actually saved my career. I get it, I understand why you’re hurt by it. I was hurt by it. But like the Bible says, forgive. ‘Because if you don’t forgive your brother, I will not forgive you.’ That’s exactly what the Bible says. He apologized to me. He pulled me aside and said, ‘Devon, I’m not that type of person. I’m not.’ He said, ‘But they’re killing me on social media. They’re making me feel like I am. I know I might have said or done things in the past.’ Then he said, ‘Brother, I love you.’ And you know what? He didn’t have to tell me that. He didn’t have to pull me aside and say that, but he did. In his world, if you really think about it—and I’m not taking anything away from myself—I’m a nobody compared to what this man has done. He didn’t have to do that with me, but he did. He said, ‘Devon, I love you, brother. I love and respect everything you’ve done, how you’ve gotten yourself out of this hole, and no matter how many times they try to knock you down, you keep getting up.’ He said, ‘I have so much respect for you.'”

They are a bunch of lunatics. These people expect the other famous people to agree with their hate. If they don't back them then they are against them and clearly are part of the people that are wrong and must be name called. This Hulk Hogan hate and hating on everyone that is sad he passed has shown what a disgusting bunch of people they are.

This is what or society has become. It has been made acceptable, even rewarded, to be a horrible, hateful person.

Surprising for Dominik Mysterio to visit AAA and now be part of the August 16 AAA Mega Championship match at Triplemania.

I get the crossover, but how can he hold the WWE Intercontinental Title at the same time and wrestler for this? Or is he going to drop the Intercontinental belt to AJ Styles at Summerslam?

Going to RAW tonight, very excited. Have to say though that this may the worst build to Summerslam I can ever remember. Like, literally no build. Too many PLE's taking the spotlight away from WWE's 3rd biggest event of the year.

There's actually not that many PLEs scheduled over the next few months so I'm hoping that with more time between each event they'll be able to have better builds for Survivor Series and Royal Rumble.

Clash in Paris - August 31st
Crown Jewel - October 11th
Survivor Series - November 29th
Saturday Night's Main Event - No date announced, probably December?
Royal Rumble - January, no specific date yet
