I'm just here for the cards and the jokes. No interest in debates.

Yordan is a miles better hitter than Guerrero, it's not even worth putting them in the same sentence

You posted this in the wrong thread to get the reaction that you so much enjoy. I bought both and it'll be fun to watch them for the next decade. Though it'll be tough, maybe one year they'll each win the MVP.

Love those Rookie Cup Foils.

Just had a small PSA sub pop with another soon to follow.

Very happy with the super grade, but there was no way it wasn't going to gem that card is perfect. A little disappointed with the atomic getting a 9, but it did have a print line. PSA used to let those go if they weren't too bad, those days are over I guess. I do have another one that has a really good chance to gem so I'll be sending that out in a sub next week.

Hr drought over with a 2 run shot
Average up to 316...officially batting 100 points higher than soto and just crossed 10 cents on the soto dollar! If he can get to 10 cents on the tatis dollar, might be time to sell due to defensive war limitations.
When Maris and Mantle were going after 61 back in the day, the true stat compilers were not following homeruns but following who was the better outfield defender.
If anyone wants to sell I'll take em the Dh off your hands, I'll make the sacrifice

Gunned down a runner at home tonight. 93.9 mph on the throw.

Pretty much Vlad from last year.

Vlad peaked at up 4x in 2021 (at one of my checkpoints-actual peak may have been higher) on his way to an up 3x finish. Yordan is barely at 1.5x up right now. The overall market is really putting a damper on our party.

I just heard something about Yordan having to leave the game after his final swing in the 7th ... I think something with his side (oblique)? Hopefully it's just minor!

People thought Guerrero could get a Triple Crown and MVP(neither of which Yordan can do), plus he's 2 years younger and not an Astro so it's very far from a fair comparison. Yordan is a far better hitter this year than Guerrero was last year regardless

Yordan is closer to MVP right now than Vlad was at any point last year. The age is already factored in to the price. It's not like the whole world just woke up and realized that Yordan is two years older.

We're not comparing nominal price (or level, if you prefer), but price increase (rate). Age, team, all that stuff was already factored in to the starting price. Yordan is starting from a lower level, so it makes gaining multiples easier.

The difference is purely last year's market vs this year's. I can see this with other guys I track too. Nobody in my Price Index is up 2x. Normally (2018/2019) I'd expect 6-10 guys to be up that much, with a couple up 3x, and maybe even someone up fivefold or more.

There isn't anything out there except a quick comment from Dusty that Yordan hurt himsefl on a swing. At that point in the game, he probably would've have pulled Yordan regardless, so I'm hopeful it really is nothing.

Just curious how he can’t win a Triple Crown.

Out for tonight but doesn't sound like it's going to be a big deal, blessedly.

Interesting, did anyone see the AB? Maybe a blister? The coach doesn't want to say what part of the hand so the opposition doesn't take advantage of it when they pitch to him, so its definitely minor.

They thought he broke a hamate bone but tests showed no break. Should just be out a short period of time. Sucks that they start a brutal 9 game stretch tomorrow without him and Pena

You give me too much credit! I know nothing about him or soccer in general, the gif just fit the situation...

AL MVP! Let's go! If Judge has a bad second half it will be wide open.
