This is true. But if you sell cards like that, you had to sell them.

Not a bit bad at all. I've said before here I'm all about the player's performance. Future values of cards have nothing into why I pick the players I do. I pick my favorites doing my own research and my own passion to follow along. I only liquidate to consolidate. Definitely not to net a benefit even though some % goes directly into another collection since my funds have to be smartly re-allocated and stretched more than the past.

In case those who're curious, these are the 4 I still keep for safe keeping:

Not cards that can be found or replaced easily. Did sell some legit 1/1's but comforted that I kept these.

Even though I am a big Braves fan, I don't collect a lot of baseball cards as I mostly focus on wrestling and football. Course, I wish I had more Acuna cards but for awhile I was doing a "one card per player" thing so my collection didn't get too large. I only buy cards I have room to display, so I have to keep it reasonable.

Anyway, I only have one Acuna "card" (if I can still call it that) but its the literal centerpiece of my Braves collection so I like it. Certainly doesn't have near the value of his rookie cards, especially now, but I like the way it looks and it was a gift from a friend a couple years ago who pulled it himself.

i've been on Acuna watch the whole year, i was working a football game last night, but saw the stat sheet that he had done it.

i'm so happy for him. he was so close to getting joining the 40/40 club a few years ago, and now he's done it.

what a season he's had. just flat out awesome. the best player in the game today. Mookie isn't far behind, but Acuna is just having an insane season.

almost reminds me a little bit of like that 41' season with DiMaggio and Teddy Williams, you can't go wrong with either guy...but i think Acuna is just a little better.

I think he still gets there. It will be close though. Going to be several games over the next week of OFF or DH, for Ronald and several other Braves.

Pitch clock has completely changed things. 70 stolen bases in this season is like 40 last year.

It's not the SB number that's doing it for me this year, 1.010 OPS, 81K/78BB, 143 Runs & .336 BA to go with the 40 (40!) HR and whatever SB number he ends up with from a guy who is still not yet 26 years old!

Who cares about card value, that will come if he just keeps doing this. We are witnessing one of the most well-rounded and exciting baseball players ever and he just made a MASSIVE leap this year. Only pre-steriods Bonds had an OPS above .960 of the previous 40/40 guys.
