Sadly, this entire business/hobby is over-saturated with people and businesses over-promising and under-delivering. That is what happens when this entire industry is just barely more than legalized gambling

James @ COMC- why are condition notes being added to cards after they are purchased? At a minimum, the seller should be notified before finding the new note by chance.

Yes- I agree. That is painful. I understand if someone notices a corner ding on a card thats been sitting for a while, but that buyer should then have a refund choice.

I don't know if I've run into this and haven't heard of this before. What exactly is happening? Sorry for my not knowing....just want to be sure I understand the issue you're referring to.

Thanks!

Totally agree it's bull$hit and the item should be pulled down with either a chance to reprice, be offered a chance for a refund, or a reversal back to the seller if you no longer want the item.

I try so hard to keep my port clean of condition notes and have gone as far as donating cards to clear them out of my port. Only to find something I bought has a note later when adjusting prices.

Is there a way to find only the cards with condition notes within one's port?
This may be a good feature to have in Inventory Manager. On the drop down menu, show only cards with condition notes.

I would prefer to donate or get rid of them also.

Has anyone had any of the cards they dropped off at the National begin procession yet? I was hoping my cards would be done by the end of next week (1 week service) but they still haven’t even been marked as being received yet.

I have some bad news for you. If it is anything like last year, don't plan on seeing them for a while. I don't remember exactly, but I thought my Premium took a few weeks last year with the drop off at Nationals. I remember telling myself, that I should have just mailed them and did it the normal way.

Mailing is way better option. I mailed a package priority on Monday, and my submissions were received and checked in yesterday.

My guess is that other users have put in correction requests to have them added. I do it on vintage cards that are creased or written on to request they be moved to a different bucket. Sometimes they write a condition note instead and leave in raw bucket.

Checked in.....but do you think the turnaround time to get them live will be faster?

I think receiving tracked packages in the mail and unloading a truck full of boxes of cards from the National are going to be different animals. I don't care that they aren't marked as received yet as I also dropped off a box in person but if it takes many more weeks (90 days vs. 60) for processing, I'm going to be upset.

As others have stated....yeah, it is going to take awhile....they were bragging about their record submission from the National this year....when they stop patting themselves on the back and get people their money that they are owed....perhaps maybe then they will check your cards in.

I mailed off about 1000 before I left for the show because I wanted them there before the National submissions started further bogging things down. I did drop off about 330 cards from stuff I ripped and picked up in boxes at the National....i figure they will get done by Xmas.

That moment someone offers you a very low offer on a nice vintage card, and then accepts your counter. Then blows the card up to about 15x of what the true value of the card is. Craziness.

Sold my 50th item this morning! I've only purchased 24, mainly because I haven't found anything else at the right price. I have 72 currently in my port and I have a 130 card submission in the early stages of processing.

So, you got 4 cents ----- despite the fact that they already kept the difference between .99 and .05

This is near or at the very top of the list of things they need to fix IMO

They are not going to do anything bout that, that is free outside money coming in.

Curse you, Highgradeplus, for having so many tempting flip deals and making me spend all my credit

Requested 100 card shipment on Saturday and marked shipped today. Between the National and summer sale I didn't expect them to be shipped until next week and wouldn't have been completely shocked if it was the week after that.

I think I am about done buying anything raw of significant value on this site. My recent experiences have been less than positive:

Bought a Jordan Topps 40 Refractor, no condition notes - Arrived and over 50% of the surface was damaged (fogged for lack of a better term), had probably been stuck to a card sleeve for 20 years.

Bought a Jordan Starquest #SQ83, no condition notes - Arrived with two creases near his head AND a dinged right corner.

Bought a Aaron 1960 Topps AS, no condition notes - Card arrived, looked as nice as a thought but something looked off in person. Yeah, it had been trimmed.

I have seen plenty of vintage with trimmed/altered condition notes.

Just seems there is no consistency, I had some cards rejected and one literally barely had a nick on the edge. And from now on I will be hesitant to pull the trigger on any nice looking raw vintage card.

They should extend the COMC grading to other people's card, not just your own. Same $2, but if they discover it should have had a condition note, it should then be free.

I've never looked at their grading option, but I thought the whole purpose was to be able to get a better opinion before buying a card. That doesn't make sense to only be able to get an opinion on your own cards.

They might miss creases but they will catch the tiniest of corner dings or the smallest surface scratch in the world
