really? because he attends a live event? if someone finds him in the stands at a WWE event will you be done with wrestling altogether? that is like the Redskins fans over the weekend saying they'd stop watching/supporting Washington football if Trump was shown on camera

I'm trying to follow along here, but I'm struggling.

If the newly elected mayor of NY buys another AEW ticket 4 years after the last one he bought, you will.....blame AEW for.....something?

This is one of the weirdest complaints I've seen on this site, and there is a LOT of competition.

Still processing the complete and utter garbage I just spentt the last 2 1/2 hrs of my life watching. That wasn't wrestling or entertainment that was pure stupidity. So much so that Flair said screw it and didn't even bother to show up.

Then seriously stop watching and stay out of this thread. It was an entertaining 2.5 hours of hardcore wrestling. The women had the match of the night.

Also Flair was out there before the show started from what I heard. Probably for the best haha.

You know why the majority of people watching this show liked it? Because the vast majority of people watching AEW over the first several years with a brain and any taste have stopped watching on tv and going to shows. This is what these people want. They are doing absolutely nothing to draw in new fans or bring back the old ones. Just cater to the niche of the niche.

They couldn't give away tickets for arguably their biggest US tv show of the year. A few years ago they would have had multiples of the attendance they had in that building tonight.

Unless you're someone that watches wrestling to an insane degree, like I do, you have probably stopped watching AEW. Why else are they at their all time lowest in every metric? Yes that includes match quality as well to everyone but Dave Meltzer and minuscule amount of the overall wrestling community that post about how "great" everything AEW has been this year.

The women's match in particular was terrible. At least down the stretch the men's was ok. Of course the ending sucked. Mox with the same he thinks its a great build up tap out he did with Hangman. Literally they were both exactly the same. Horrible fake acting making it obvious he's going to tap when he is so dumb he thinks it's the opposite. A guy they haven't done a thing with in the 3 1/2 years in the company gets the tapout win lol.

Why the hell did these matches need to be an eternity? Im not a fan of most WarGames type matches to begin with. Everything before everyone is in the cage is so damn boring almost all the time. How many entrants that were supposed to be 2 minutes were 6-7 minutes between the 2 matches? I think it was at least 5. Basically everyone with a commercial break. Jeez I get like the Rumble isn't exact timing but you really need to make a match that's going to be over 30 minutes that match freaking longer? Having many ring entrant intervals being literally 3+ times the length they were supposed to be is a joke.

On a side note, someone needs to tell Hangman Page the Men's world championship bs he does is stupid as f. Here's a thought. How hard would it be if it's an issue just stop calling the women's the women's and the men's the men's. Even the brain dead fans aren't going to confuse which title Mercedes Mone and which one Samoa Joe are going for. Drop the entire use of the world women's when it comes to title. Just to make him look like a moron. I hope one of these days he slips up and says he is or something saying he's the women's world champion. Every time we have to hear Hangman or an announcer say this crap it makes me roll my eyes these guys are idiots. This is coming from someone that does think Page is a great wrestler but is the worst he's ever been on the mic this year.

Fantastic show last night. Wish the women's match would've gone on last but I get wanting to do a happy ending. Hangman and Hobbs beating the piss out of each other was highly enjoyable and loved seeing Kyle get his time to shine in the main event. Was it over indulgent? Hell yes, not sure how you could expect any less from a show advertising 2 BnG matches but I thought it was one of their best Dynamites in forever.

Great episode-- it was definitely for us sickos. Agree that the women should have main evented and everyone involved in that match should be proud at how they showed out. I was especially impressed with Marina Shafir.

The bottom line is, if you enjoy switching off your brain and aren't even tempted to look for (or even notice) the numerous botches and inconsistencies, last night hit the spot.

I watched the women's match, the only thing that really got to me was the tacks.

The bag ripped and 95% of those tacks went outside, yet every 2 minutes, the announcers were making comments about someone falling on "all those tacks"...
There was like 10 in the whole ring...

Shafir taking off her boots and then stepping on the glass on purpose was a bit wild for me... No way I'm cutting open the bottom of my foot for a match...

Actually he did show up...but apparently plans changed due to a recent rotator cuff injury...

But sure narrative away

Haven't actually watched any AEW outside of clips here n there, but still keep up with it..

Watching now, cuz of BnG obviously

Harley Cameron has improved leaps and bounds since her start

Jamie Hayter looks completely different than last I watched

Not really big on Thekla

Pretty sure Stat had a momentary nip slip right before Mercedes entrance

Nail bed spot was nice

Timeless Toni still as thick as ever lol

Just one observation from someone most here know what 'side' I'm on. Really interesting the amount of tribalism on both sides as to how much they liked or disliked that AEW show.

it all just goes to whether fans either like the safe, not as violent looking WWE entertainment or the other side the likes the more realistic looking 'fights'. My favorite era in WWE was Attitude era where they had Hardcore Title matches and had TLC pay per views where they actually USED tables, ladders and chairs. I was also a big late 90's ECW guy. Hoping maybe with WWE now owned by TKO maybe they can get a big more bloody but doubt they might decide to do that

Im not on either side and Im telling you how terrible AEW is right now. Hell, I've actually been to more AEW shows this decade than WWE and it's not close. Probably double the amount. If I win some type of award I could provide proof of tickets and photos/video from each or most events. Some of the AEW PPVs I've been to are some of the best shows I've ever watched period. Out of the top 25 matches I've seen live all time probably more than half are AEW matches.

After Cena's last match I can't imagine there will be anything I go see live again anytime soon. AEW is so bad that it's not worth going to for free. They haven't had a single PPV that wasn't at least 5 hours driving time for me each way or having to take a flight. If they ever actually had a PPV in Ohio or Western PA I'd possibly go as long as there was 1 match worth seeing.

WWE prices are astronomical and countless shows outside the US. I'd like to see Rey vs Dom, Rhea vs Iyo the next time it happens, Stephanie vs Rhea, Punks vs Cody and few other matches live but not for total cost of seeing it. Probably thousands of dollars. I've gone to shows that weren't too badly priced and were a reasonable drive. Outside of that happening again not much I'd fly for and spend thousands to see. Cody vs Rock but unfortunately if it happens it's going to be in Saudi Arabia. No thanks.

I pay for the matches and wrestlers I want to see. I don't care what the company is.

It's always the same people. If your blood pressure rises, or your going to have a stroke, stop watching AEW or whatever company it is. The same thing with Packman and a few others. Why bother watching if you guys hate ever single second of wrestling. I like all Nort American/European wrestling. I hate New Japan. Guess what I simply don't watch New Japan. It's like my favorite sport ever car racing. If I like the type of cars, or organization racing I'll watch every single race and not complain. Guess what. If I don't like the cars racing, or organization, I don't watch and sit there, and complain about it.

No no no...he likes like 4-5 wrestlers...so instead of just watching their matches or highlights...he HAS to endure the pain and watch EVERY SHOW!

I don't care what the organization is. Unlike many others including yourself.

This may be the only instance in wrestling history that complaining isn't going to do anything. In the past people complaining has worked. Every other company actually cared about making money. If you want to make money you have to do what's best for the product and the fans at some point.

AEW is the most real audience of 1 ever. I honestly believe if Tony Khan was told he could profit $250 million per year but had to let a group of others control the booking and results or lose $250 million and he handles everything like now he would take the $250 million a year loss.

I like MJF, Darby, Ospreay, Swerve, Page (in ring only), Takeshita, Christian, Jay Lethal, Max Caster, Ricochet (in ring only), Mercedes, Athena, Stat, Harley Cameron, Jamie Hayter, Willow. Last time I checked that's quite a bit more than 4-5 wrestlers. There are others that I will watch if they are against certain people. Like Im not a Kenny Omega fan but Ospreay vs Omega at Forbidden Door was one of the best matches I've ever seen. What I flat out don't want to watch is stuff involving the people that are God awful. Like the pound for pound worst wrestler in the world, Jon Moxley.

The main reason AEW has gone downhill is because of the person running it. I think if Tony Khan went into a coma for the next 9-12 months and the right people got put in charge AEW could be awesome again.
