Anyone watch his 4th at bat ?

Pitch A was an automatic Ball.

then the 4th pitch on MLB gameday shows that it was called a strike when it shows as if it hit the ground and very far away from the strikezone....what happened there?

Pitcher wasnt ready for ball 1. Pitch 4 was really inside and hit off of the catchers mit. Probably didnt land until almost hitting the backstop.

Unfortunately, Ive thought this for 2 weeks. He's rolling over a ton of stuff it seems. Lots of infield groundballs of recent.

Seems to be exactly what is happening...pressing.

I would imagine it's virtually impossible for any hitter, even the elite ones, to separate an "at bat" from "if I JUST destroy this pitch, so I achieve x...".

I think that's what happened to Judge after he hit #61. IIRC, he hit #61 with 7 or 8 games left in the season, but he didn't hit #62 until either the 3rd or 2nd to last game.
