I've always been a believer that the correct positioning is where if the card is held in the vertical position and can be turned clockwise once.

In your examples, that would make the X-Fractor and Rainbow Foil correct.

While his current slash line is flat out great, it's crazy to see that his numbers are still way below his batted ball expected stats. His xwOBA is 0.480, 0.066 higher than his actual. 0.414 wOBA is still great, but 0.480 is truly bonkers.

This is the great folly of position value. Nobody gets a mega-contract because they’re a vacuum cleaner in the field. They get paid because they produce runs.

Yordan isn’t great in the field, but he does play nearly half the games out in left. If he proves to be a 1.000 OPS guy (or close to it), is there any $30 million guy who’s worth $10-$11 million more because of his defense?

Then again, he did get paid early. And if he’s 1.000 OPS guy at the end of the contract, then he’ll get paid again.

To answer the bolded, yes. Pretty much any shortstop, most 2b/3b/cf, and even some corner OF.

You hit the nail on the head at the end though. Gotta remember this contract is covering three arbitration years, so those years would be depressed no matter what route he took. The FA years are "only" $26m. That's a bargain if he were to sign a three year deal today, but he's locking it in now so it comes at a big discount.
