Just to show the ugly side - I'm up to 14 boxes of Hawkeye and have only hit one auto so far. And its a Fra Fee.

Even at 75% off, I'm still getting killed.

What were the Hawkeye boxes going for on sale?

I was surprised when I went on eBay to see the prices of the "big" autos.

Jeremy Renner auto sales from the Hawkeye set trended right around $100-$120 for most, with even an "Authentic" PSA Jeremy Renner Card from the Hawkeye set with a 10 Auto Grade only fetching $102, with the highest being around $220 for a holiday Hawkeye Jeremy Renner auto #d 001/100 going for $220.

On the other hand, the Hailee Steinfeld autos were mostly $260-$360, with an outlier here or there (probably a poor listing ending time) going for $120-200 - and on the high end, some outliers going for as high as $380-$400 back in November 2024.

Didn't watch the show, not familiar with her other than she played Kate Bishop in that shows and dates the quarterback for the Bills.

I think the small auto checklist gives false hope of hitting a Renner/Hailee, while the other sets with the larger auto checklist turn some folks off knowing they would hit a no name much easier on a case break.

Wow, so if you hit a Steinfeld you're basically paying for the case. Makes me wish I watched the show!

I'm not sure if they did it with the Hawkeye set, but I liked how you could combine 10 digital base for one physical - then 5 physical for one gold border, etc.

With prices like that and if you were into the show, you could probably put some nice rare(r) sets together!

fantastic time to pick up some singles if you are patient and have excess funds


This is the reflexive nature of the price, as more supply come onto the market short term. It is also the symptom of disconnect between busters/resellers and collectors (not only the smaller and smaller cross section, but also the difference in numbers)
More than anything imagine them trying to flush a whole year worth of products in epack format, in a couple months, and instead of ppl able to save them for later (keeping sealed, invest, future bust or whatever), you have to realise the content now.

you can work out pretty much the odds of pulling either a Hailey or Renner though...

for non serial ones, they are all group A

autographs - group A - 1:1227
autograph horizontal - group A - 1:5960
Holiday Sweater auto - group A - 1:3893

meaning for non serial autos of H/R, they appear ~ 1:806.4 packs

Now the serial ones there are total of 49*2+25*2+25+75+100*2+25*2 = 498 additional (this include duals)

now with around 48000 hobby/epack boxes that means serial H/R autos are
approximately 1:1445 packs

so total odds of pulling auto of either one of them is around approx 1:507 packs, or around 1: 33.8 boxes (I would caution against making assumption that hailey signed as many as renner in the unnumbered....but if you want to make that assumption then Haileys are aroound 1:67 boxes to pull)

Yeah would explain my bad luck lol. I figured UD took a few days for them to notice...at the rate Hawkeye is getting pulled I figure its next.

What are the hottests set on e-pack for Marvel, that if they went on sale for 50-75% off would disappear first?

I'm guessing, in order:

1. Flair?
2. Midnight Sons?
3. Anime Vol 2?

If I had to guess, it would take a 75 to sell them...but at 75, Flaire, then midnight suns then anime in that order.

I think Flair at 50% is a decent rip. They have been selling a good amount each time, judging by how much the achievements get eaten up. If it went to 75% off I'd buy a ton, personally. Might slow down after achievements are gone but at sub $50 per box you could probably just make your money back selling sets and singles

Right, but I think any of the main UD sets you could make your money back if you hit one sketch. At under 50 a box it would be much more monetarily feasible to try.

opened 1 box today and got a renner adornment auto #/49

Hitting sketch in any of the marvel products is very difficult.
I had better luck hitting autos which partially pays for the boxes/cases.

Hopefully, we'll have Flair on sale at 75%. I like the set and would be good to get some of the limited number cards to complete the set.
