what am I missing on the Aaron Judge cards today ?

Non Auto Relic /125 for $300 or a 20 pk of regular base with a chance for an /5 or 1/1 auto relic, regular image varition plus all of the regular #'d color variations for $169

Seems like a no brainer

I know he didn’t do anything in his first game, but how was there no card for Dylan Crews debut? I’m afraid they’re going to do the same thing as with Wood and do a separate drop for a relic card at an off-time in the AM.

I was surprised they didn't do a Debut card too. They could've easily used the fact that he reached base safely in his debut as a highlight.

Got one notwithstanding the price. I was so mad about missing the irregular drop on the Wood relic I wasn’t going to let it happen again.

That /125 bottom piece will be mine! (Rolls eyes).

I kind of liked the idea of the multiple parallel autos as part of a slightly pricier base order.

But I think Crews is the second or third time I've seen only one auto for the entire print run?

Topps can't seem to leave a good thing alone - one auto for an entire run isn't going to entice many people to buy the base at that inflated price, I believe. My guess is that it'll actually depress the orders a bit - it is for me anyway. I'm not paying $10-12 per base card at lotto ticket odds.

One auto in the entire PR very much should give zero incentive to buy anything you weren’t going to buy already. But if people can’t/won’t consider the basic odds in play on things like the triple, Fanatics is still going to be incentivized to keep doing the kind of crap they are doing now. I started buying Now for the opposite reason - you could directly buy whatever you want. That began to be diluted by plat reservations, then packing all the autos and relics. If it’s going to be 100% a crapshoot there is just no point to it anymore.

Yeah this one is pretty egregious. Game saving catch, maybe the best home run robbery of the year. Parker Meadows also had a game saving HR robbery against Seattle earlier this month that did get a card so not sure why this one didn't, and Meadows' was in the 8th, not 9th like Jankowski's.
