Apparently, it's one of those deals where if you sit there and watch a guy long enough, over time, you start to feel like he's an actual acquaintance (especially if he shouts you out a few times when he sees your name run across a live chat). When in reality, he has absolutely no idea who the F you are and I guarantee you that your "friendship" would dissolve quickly if you stop participating in breaks. Put it this way, if you disappear, he's not going to be reaching out to see if you're ok. He's just a common grifter doing what he has to do to get a sale, and actually, there is no real problem with that. The problem is that he couldn't just live with the constant trickle of funds that came from being a grifter, he had to become a thief as well. Everybody wants to get rich quick, and some eventually devolve to illegal tactics to do so. You would think any partners in this venture would boot him for putting their livelihoods in danger, but it sounds like they're staying loyal to him. I suppose their business will continue on as they have probably grifted enough "friends" over the years that will believe his utterly ludicrous explanation out of misplaced loyalty to their one-sided "friendship." But I hope not. They deserve to join the "Cooks to 99's" of the breaking world in infamous anonymity.

Yea I think Platinum and Backyard are very comparable with their brutal pricing and complete immaturity in each and every break.

But hey, more power to you if you like to pay 3x+ market value to watch grown men act like children throwing a temper tantrum.
In that case you can make that argument against all the big breakers out there. They all have same pricing for comparable products like NT, Prizm, Flawless, Optic, Contenders etc. And it's usually not a "3X markup" more like 10-20% from retail depending on the breaker. The selling point is that is compared to retail price like on Blowout versus what they paid from their distributor or direct from the manufacturer. Profit margins for all of the big breakers are insane these days.

Do you have any connection to Platinum other than breaking with them? Your responses sound very scripted. Apologies if you don't.

He'd probably break WNBA products if there was enough $$$$ in it and cards he could steal

More people need to listen to this video from SCR...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDU6zt_-jJk

So his pawn shop gets ripped off for 30k.
1. He kidnaps and holds against their will the robber's gf.
2. Threatens murder against the drug dealer.
3. Takes 40k in jewelry from the drug dealer, drugs and cash (so now he's making money off this deal.)
4. Grand Theft Auto on the drug dealer's Monte Carlo and held the drug dealer against his will.
5. Takes 7k from the robber AND the robber's BMW.

So who robbed who here? He started down 30k and left the whole situation doubling his money.

Highly doubt the legitimacy of this GTA/Sopranos wanna be, but if there is, there's multiple charges in that tape that he ratted himself out on...

Luckily the package was insured so I was able to work with the USPS, I got my spot price back, which was good enough for me, I would have much rather the Dak, but at least I got my $$ back and avoided the headache of dealing with them ever again. So whenever people talk about them and how people break with them no issues, I will tell about my only experience with them.

I don't see the problem here. If you give people like this your money, it is to be expected. Here is some life advice for the young people here. Don't give your money to a guy that goes by the name "G." If you follow this simple advice, things will work out for you.

If you believe this while supporting Plat, than you aren't doing enough due diligence on how you are spending your money.

Anyone that says G made an honest mistake is part of the problem. There was no honesty from the beginning of that break through his apologies. As I’m closing out 20 years of military service, I’ve seen and dealt with ‘mistakes’ service members have committed. Some are truly honest mistakes, while many are not. It’s interesting to see how those service members handle those situations with some taking ownership and rebounding while others are dismissed from the service. 18 year old kids have better character than G displayed over the last week to include Platinum Breaks ownership.

In some ways I would love to see a Saturday Night Live skit destroying these guys and Backyard Breaks, but unfortunately bad publicity isn’t always bad in the long run.

Welcome to the 20yrs club. I retired at 20 and can't say it was a bad decision at all. It is amazing of how through the years I seen a lot of youngsters make mistakes and others own their mistakes. This guy "G" would have been one of those that made excuses and kicked out. He probably wouldn't have ever made it through any boot camp.

Anyone know what city Platinum is based out of? I promise I won't call the nearest FBI branch as an anonymous tip.
