And that's the part that's the worst. They make these cards. They know no one is going to be happy getting Aron Baynes in exchange for Kobe. No one. There is zero reason they could not have done these packs or a variation of with only top players.

I suspect they were already going to do the new parallels as part of an extended/subset, so they just threw the Kobe's into that plan.

So seems almost random at this point with the older / higher end ones getting priority on a replacement. Odd the 2017 optic signature series ones haven’t been dealt with at all. Can’t be a good sign.

Bit of transparency would have gone a long way. At least now I know what to expect for my 2018 prizm Kobe redemption that was shipped out.

Honestly. The best way to handle this would have been to do this and announce it prior:

1. If we have the specific replacement for your redemption you get it.
2. Every other card replaced in order of claim.
3. Everyone else gets packs.

A mess indeed. I’m really curious what other autograph item pops. So far we have Impeccable, Contenders hard signed copies.

Man, just imagine if they have a Noir Spotlight or Gold Variation of that Select. That would be epic.

I think the way they are doing it is.

1. If we have the specific replacement for your redemption you get it.
2. Every other card replaced in order of value
3. All generic lower tier Kobe autos replaced in order of when they were redeemed.
4. Everyone else gets packs.

But someone receiving 3 select on card autos for 2017 optic fast break autos and cornerstones / vanguard autos being valued so highly confuses that some.

Just got my overnight and it was a pack. I kind of knew it was a pack already based on what was posted in here earlier. My two big hits were...

Kobe Tribute card #7/8
KZ Okpala Gold #1/8

The rest were numbered to /20 of vets

I really wanted an auto but am just glad Panini put some closure to this situation and didn't drag it along for years. My redemption was a prizm base auto from 18-19. So I'm guessing if you redeemed an auto that isn't SP or numbered then you'll be getting a pack.

what about the contenders veterans base and parallels (non-kobe set). those were also on-card.

If you click on the photo and then click the share button, the just copy the BBCode option right into the post and it will show up. Medium size should work.

Oh man, the emotions.
I got excited when I received the notification from Panini, but then uncertainty when I wasn't sure if I'd get a card or a pack. Then eagerness to receive when it seemed like people who got the notification were getting cards and not packs, now I'm nervous that I'll only be getting a pack that I don't want based on some of the recent posts.
Mine arrives on Wed (Tues US time). I really, really don't want a pack.

Not sure about the price being that it's a stand alone card. Reminds me of the Kobe Hero Villain Box parallels.
