Longtime lurker, new poster. I just sold my PSA 9 for $6000. I've been sitting on it for 15 years, so not a bad return. I'm sure it will continue to rise, but I needed the money for some health reasons. I'm going to try to buy one back in a few months (we'll see!) Crazy to see the interest in the hobby here. |

sorry to hear your health problems mkebucks2001. My guess is the card will continue to appreciate but at the end of the day your healthy is more important than a psa9 chrome lebron rc.

Even though Lebron had many RC variants unlike Jordan, TC is his most sought after or must have RC for most collectors. With more people entering the hobby and the demand going up, I would not be surprised to see the prices going up more due to demand surpassing the supply. Total PSA pop is ~5600, Total BGS pop is ~7500.

TC Lebron is the hobby's de facto "base rookie card". I do not expect that to ever change nor am I foolish enough to call that card a poor purchase. Still thinking if I'm buying one PSA 10 at or near that $$ range, I'm going EX, Pristine/1999 or Finest.
For the sake of conversation, if Jordan had multiple Fleer RCs, one had a PSA 10 population of 5,000 and another 39, how would that play in the market? Flagship Icon Iconic Flagship not withstanding. |

yes, the pop report is inflated by at least 25% in my opinion due to crossovers and crack & resubmissions.

.It is the same as a Jordan collector wanting to have a 1986 Fleer in any grade before adding XRC or 90's inserts. Imagine 10K collectors going after a 2003 TC base.

Been inching my way back into cards, and of course at the worst possible time. Lol. So maybe I’m just reacting from fomo, but I want to get some James rookies before they get too much further out of reach. I have a local collector offering me these 2 chromes for $6500, and he’s throwing in a UD rookie exclusive and a 19/20 Pink Mosaic to the deal. I’m gonna try to get him down to somewhere between $5500-6000 cold hard cash. Provided I can get the price down a bit do I pull the trigger? He’s guaranteeing they are between a 9/10. Would appreciate any opinions.

Top has a chance at 10 if everything else is clean but centering is what will push it down to a 9. Bottom, centering is so off that 9 would be a win.

both will be psa 8's... top has a slim chance at a BGS 8.5-9

Everyone selling their cards on local facebook pages think their cards will come back 10's and price them as such, it's frustrating.

Of course not. I’d still have to go look at them myself and make that judgment, this is just his opinion. I wouldn’t buy them without looking at them and inspecting them closely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Curious what your thinking is on this? The centering on the top one looks really good. I understand the bottom one has issues top to bottom, but I’ve seen 9’s with similar centering on eBay. As long as the surfaces are clean and corners sharp what would keep these from gettin 9’s? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Nether have a chance at a PSA 10 or BGS 9.5. I'd bet big money on that. The majority of my time on Ebay is spent looking at graded TC Lebron rookies. I have 1 BGS quad 9.5 and one I recently got graded BGS 9. You'd be hoping for a 9 at best, I think BGS 8.5 is more likely.

Okay, not knocking your opinion and saying you’re wrong, but what makes you say that based on a couple pictures? I’d be happy with 9’s too, but why 8.5? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
