It's only a matter of time before he has a triple double at half time

Tonight's performance was on of his most impressive yet. 32/13/12 while shooting 46% and 4 turnovers in only 33 minutes.

All this on the road in the second game of a back to back.

I don't know though man it looks like the norm. This is incredible if this is the Russ we get all year. How the hell does this guy do it game after game. Unreal.

at this point honestly ill be surprised if he DOESNT average the triple double for the year...he is making them so routine and look so easy every game now...up to 31.0/11.3ast/10.9reb per game...unbelievable...2nd in points, 2nd in assists, 9th in rebounds!!...in the whole league he is 9th in rebounds ahead of Cousins and KAT among others...lol...crazy..

11 triple doubles in 22 games...last year was "insane" when he had 18 of them in like 80 games...he will have like 35+ this year !!

The rebounds part is very impressive as a PG. Get 10+ average a night is crazy on top of his other production.

He will average a triple double and they will lose first round in the playoffs. He is all about stats now. Too many minutes.

He isn't all about stats, he just plays hard and the stats are a part of the intensity with which he plays. He's a hustler baby....

Yes I agree. It just goes to show how hard he actually plays in games. He doesn't take plays off and wait around for someone else to do something. He goes for the ball and is always active on both ends of the floor. I can respect that in a player.

ok so what is the teams outlook if he doesnt average a triple double?? losing in the 1st round of playoffs most likely!!!!! the team would not be some big threat if he "only" avg 25/8/7...they probably wouldnt even make the playoffs...the guy is not holding anyone on that team back from what i can tell...

what is he supposed to be about?? if the outlook is most likely an early playoff exit no matter what he does stat-wise then what is your point exactly??

Since when playing 35 mins is "too many minutes"?

Other than possibly losing in the first round your critiques aren't on point. You do realize the Thunder are first in their division, so there's more to it than stats. And yeah, in what world is 35 mins a game too many minutes?

Have not been on much lately but just got to say I love RUSSSSSS. Always have he is the best PG by far in the NBA better then curry, CP3 or anyone else you wanna throw out there it not close. Guy is a top 3 player in the NBA what he is doing is honestly freaking nuts no one else can do what he is doing besides maybe Lebron if he really wanted to. And the best thing about this is that the team is winning to they are 14-8 and he is leading them

I think as long as he does not get hurt God for Bid, he will 1000% average triple double and 1000% win MVP and OKC will be a top 5 seed in the west. Just crazy to watch really is.

Thunder only have quality wins over Houston and Clippers thus far. Most of their wins are over non-playoff teams. Their strength of schedule for the remainder of the year will be harder. I don't think Thunder will end up being a top 4 team in the west. More likely 5-8.

They winning so can't be all about stats bro, and there winning all cause of him guy a freaking beast does everything. If KD was on the team this year they would of won with olidepo I'm very confident in that. And last year they only lost cause KD freaking choked and shoot freaking 10-30 like a bum, not cause of russ. Otherwise they would have been in the finals last year and possibly won it all.

Westbrook Exquisite are starting to go beast mode. This should set a new high.

2008 Exquisite Collection Russell Westbrook RC AUTO PATCH /225 BGS 9.5 (PWCC)

When do you guys think the best time to cash in is if you're holding? Before playoffs?

It all depends on how long he can keep this up.

If it's late March and he's still averaging 30/10/10 and OKC is a top 4 seed, he'll be the talk of the Basketball world and his stuff will be going for even more.

On the other hand, if he goes 28/7/9 the rest of the way and OKC is just fighting for the last few playoff spots, the time to cash in might be now.

Or if you're actually a collector you can just hold tight and enjoy the ride.

NBA: How Russell Westbrook chasing triple-doubles helps Oklahoma City Thunder

"In Westbrook's 48 career triple-doubles, the Thunder are 42-6. In his 11 this season, they're 9-2. The two losses were a two-point loss to the Orlando Magic on a buzzer-beater and an overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers"

Great read man. Exactly right people act like RUSS is just doing this for the stats they are freaking winning every time has a triple double so for all those people please you have no idea what your saying and it clear you are just a RUSS hater for some reason.

1 - I'm pretty sure most of us know what we are saying.
2 - I can appreciate the stats this guy puts up. He's a star/superstar talent. The way he plays the game, being so ball dominant, leads to the accumulation of stats and he's great at getting his stats.
3 - the game isn't about all stats, it's a single part.
4 - I will look forward to the continuation of Westbrook and winning. he has done this for a few months now and if he's a superstar it will continue.

I don't believe in Russ leading his team to a chip. I think he needs another superstar talent and without it, it won't be pretty. It is also important to say that the thunder are behind both the grizz and rockets.
Keep going energy bunny

Same can be said for every superstar than has won a ring in the last 2+decades aside from Dirk and Olajuwon.

bottom line is they are winning and he is playing with tremendously energy and heart. His stats aren't coming at the detriment of his team so there is nothing to really need with. People just love to poo poo a good time. You can dislike his style but that's about it. People did the same thing with Curry and do the same with lebron.
