I would guess that the voters leaned more on the best player on the best team more than the hitting streak, but that's just me. And in 2023, the best player on the best team is Ronald Acuna

Now, if Arraez was putting up the type of numbers Ted Williams did, you know, leading the league in slugging and OPS, and runs scored, and walks, and home runs, he'd be running away with the award. Instead, he's a one tool singles hitter, he's nothing like Ted Williams

Was in the neighborhood of my LCS yesterday and stopped and grabbed a box of Series 2. Hit an acuna major league material auto. (And a schwarber golden mirror and a schwarber heavy lumber) not a bad box

seller on eBay has an Acuna Transcendent 2018 rookie listed. he's asking for $1,500 on a raw version. checked on recent sales of the card, graded 9's are $300ish, and BGS 10's went for just under $600.

he's asking for almost triple the amount of comps.....yeah idk about that. i hope he's right in the long run, because that's a big ask from him.

even with the season Acuna is having.

Probably just saw the PSA 10 listed for $2300 and figured that was a fair price. Some people don't do much research.
